Night Train, I had tried to fix the broken table leg with wood glue and a smallish clamp. The neighbour from over the road is a builder, carpenter and very practical type of person. He seemed confident he could fix it.

The table I'm currently working on was temporarily bodged back together with some dirty great screws and half a tube of 'No More Nails'.
That was 7 years ago. Still works

My table is only very small. It is the largest of three of a nest of tables, bought recently twenty-seven years ago.

Why didn't you use clean screws?
