Did you have banana fritters for dessert? with maple syrup?

Talking of food, as we often do on here, I had some Marks and Spencer Coleslaw today. I do not like coleslaw, but I think it was Phil, who said the same, and then said he tried some of theirs and liked it. Yes it was nice. Not so nice was the cream cakes. But I think they were not fresh cream, as it says on the box that they keep until the 6th.

My brother had taken Mum to a Marks and Spencers Food Hall, as she is finding it increasingly difficult to cook and prepare food. They had Ham and Brie pancakes for lunch.

Oh sh*t ouch I can see how that would affect you like that.

I must admit Im crap with nearly all these stupid gates they put on cycle paths they do my head in, around harrogate they are bars about 6 foot tall and lean close together at the top so you have to squeeze throught them so I just stop and squeeze myself through them if I tried to cycle through them it would not go well. Oh yes and there is a set of these on a cycle path through the yorkshire show ground behind sainsburys that some numpty thought it would be a good idea to put sand as the path you ride on so there is no way to keep the bike upright as it just sinks instantly  honestly some people need a properly good slap.

I would like to see some of the t*ssers that put them there try to get through them

No. too full of meat and stuff.

We did discuss whether you could do a dessert version - a simmering pot of golden syrup into which you'd dip sponge cake...

It was nice, and fun - the stuff all cooks quickly, and the flavour of the stock (it started out with just some chunks of spare rib, spring onion and ginger in it) develops over the meal as it takes on the flavours of the stuff you cook. You have some of the stock in a bowl to soak your noodles in. It's like fondue, really, the sort where you cook meat in oil rather than the cheesy sort.

Anyway, I'm off to bed now. Got a train to catch in the morning..
Night all!

Just been to the Chinese restaurant and had one of those stockpots where you cook veg and fish and meat fresh in the pot over a gas burner at the table. Yum!

We do that sometimes. The folks can spend all day preparing the food and getting everything just right. Then we cook in the soup stock kept hot in a large rice cooker on the dining table.:hungry:
