Handy Hint.
If one is engaged upon a 50 mile ride, with the intention of stopping at Wetherspoons for the Mother of all Fried Breakfasts - be warned.
If you arrive at 12:10 you will be disappointed. And hungry.
Grrrr!

Evenings! Not been in for a while but thought I'd pop in and see if there's any Tea? on the go. I teamed up with Admin yesterday for a hilly 100k sportive and have been wiped out today. Could do with a brew. Poor Admin didn't realise Grimpeur in the sportive title meant it would be hilly . He put on a good show though and made it round. I think it helped that he knew there was pie and chips at the end as a reward.

You should have joined up with Helen and Shaun and earned yourself pie and chips

Oops

Lots of tea but that cat's back at work tomorrow so there's probably aren't any biscuits left.

Helen and Admin were quite some way North of where we were.
Had I got up early enough to have got a train Oop North, I'd have done my ride and been ordering breakfast at about half-nine at the latest.

There's a moral to every story

*pedals very fast*

Did you manage to get thee some fried sustenance in the end from somewhere else?

Ey up, is there any tea? I'm gasping. It's been really hot and humid all day, and as a result I've been headachy and dragging my feet a bit...

Thats right, just like stuffing your face with magums doesnt count as dieting potsy

Shut it Phil!! No Magnums for ages since they put the price back up

First day of my new diet, pie and mash for tea

I was hoping for an early night but I have just found 'Hawking' on BBC4 followed by 'Horizon' and 'Lost Horizons' through to 1.20am.:tired:

I went to see my God daughter's sister in a play, her first am dram performance, in Norfolk over the weekend. It was 'old time music hall' and the auditorium was laid out with chairs around tables. There was nibbles on the table to munch during the first half then during the interval, tea and coffee was served by the cast and also sandwiches and cakes. The cakes on the stand were impressive adn we were told, on our table, that we had to finish all the cakes. So I did!:hungry:

Theatre and cake, what could be better!?

I'm off to bed, before I sit up all night refreshing my Ebay watch list to see if I win a saddlebag...

There's that rock'n' roll lifestyle rearing it's head again

I am now on a calorie controlled diet, first time for ages I have set out to do it properly.
Have had some good help with the figures from Colinj so I now have my ideal intake per day to lose between 1 and 2 lbs per week.
Aim is now to lose the second of the 2 stone I wanted to lose this year, hopefully by early October.
Better start ordering my new reduced sized clothing in anticipation

Sugar free tea anyone?

Oh dear, I should do something that strict. But, erm, well, I accidentally bought a big box of Celebrations chocolates yesterday so I'd better finish those off first

I doubt you need to lose a stone Jo, you look more like you need feeding up a bit to me

I have some Crunchies and Wispa bars in the fridge, they were a bargain so couldn't resist.
Don't worry, they will be caefully worked into my allowance at the expense of some boring vegetable or fruit
