Was dry here when you posted that, it's not any more, my cycling gear is hanging up to dry, might take a while

It's finally stopped here but it was so bad on the top of the hills that my wellies filled up with water and I had to stop, take them off and turn them upside down to empty them

There's a heavy fog/drizzle combo going on in Whitby....

Fortunately, we have a coal fire, tea and Cake-a-plenty.

Was foggy on the way home this morning, lights on full and hardly any traffic though at that time.
Did ride faster than normal, don't know who's hanging about at 2am

Whitby? Went there when I was 14 IIRC.
Although I nearly ended up there about 6 years ago, when I got lost.
I started out from Scarborough, aiming for Thornton-le-Dale.
I ended up back on the A171 at dusk. With no lights...

Fortunately, we have a coal fire, tea and Cake-a-plenty.

I stayed in Whitby ...oooeer.. sometime last century. It was a sort of guesthouse/small hotel almost next door to the Abbey. How many steps up is it from the town to the Abbey - 99 or so? Strangely if you have had a long walk, then enjoyed a cream tea in Whitby, the number of steps up to the top seems to increase quite noticeably.

I have cycled from Whitby to Scarborough and back on the cycle path 1.5 times.

Lovely and sunny and clear here. Fab cake at this morning's coffee stop.

Cycled over the M5 - it was eerily quiet. Thankfully we were too far away to see anything, if indeed there was anything left to see.
