Rain nearly off I think. Decent walk with the dog before lunch then head over to my folks for the rest of the day. Usually just involves sitting around chatting, watching tv and eating too much :blush:

QPR vs The Famous CFC = highly recommended. :smile:

Rain still heavy here - bit of an oxymoron in this instance but the visibilty across the valley is around 100m at the moment. Quite spooky watching the shifting of out of focus horsey shapes in the field behind us.

Morning Teapups.
I had a horrendous night, consisting of painkillers and icepacks. I'm hoping it settles before Friday when we go away.
You have my sympathies. I thought I had had an ok night but apparently my body disagrees. We got less than 3 miles into my ride this morning and it let me know it was not interested in life today and I had to cycle home very slowly. 5 miles took me around 40 minutes and I barely made it up the stairs to bed. Morphine and codeine plus the heat pack have all been needed. When my husband got home a hot chocolate was done for me to get my blood sugars back up followed quickly by an early lunch. I'm almost ads but will be needing another dose of morphine bet very soon and I have visitors this afternoon. I did think of cancelling them but it is my sister and her new boyfriend and fiance who I have never met and my sister has never been here before. It has taken her nearly 3 years to come to my home depot the fact she lives less than 25 miles away!

Ahhhhhhh. :banghead:

Family!:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

On the bright side of things I have a sourdough loaf proving at the moment and it should be tray for the oven very shortly! :hungry:

@SatNavSaysStraightOn Hope you feel better when the meds kick in and you enjoy your belated family visit!

It was still dull, cold and drizzling when I set out with the dog so I was kitted up with t-shirt, jumper and waterproof jacket plus waterproof overtrousers. Needless to say, within 20 minutes the rain went off, the sun came out and I started to melt. Lol.

Just had peanut butter and banana sandwiches and a mug of tea for lunch. A combination I had heard of but handn't tried. Actually quite tasty.

Aww SNSSO, I feel for you. I shouldn't complain as I know there are others so much worse than me, but it's hard when you live with it day in, day out.
It's not just my hip right now, it's the FM, the Arthritis, the anxiety issues....
I hope your pain eases and your visitors aren't too trying for you.
Gentle :hugs:

Very funny Fat Boab! Although seeing guys coming in being disgusted at taking over an hour to do a 25 does make me wonder why I bother!!

One of our guys had virtual hypothermia (couldn't stop shivering), meanwhile I was as snug as a bug marshalling - 4 layers!
@Fubar
Couldn't resist when Ms Mo posted the image....
25 in an hour?
I got just under 15 ml once :rofl:
Aye, better to have layers on what had been a horrible morning here but sun splitting the sky now, 9c and snow on the higher hills N of Helensburgh.

That's something I experienced when I did two 57min 25's a couple of years ago on an undulating course. Both races were on warm sunny evenings but the effort had taken so much out of me that you would have thought that I was on the North Pole in Winter for about an hour afterwards. When you go under the hour on a course that isn't a pan flat dragstrip both the mental and the physical effort can be quite intense.

I've been cleaning the bedroom in between a sit down and popping on here.
Windows done, surfaces cleared and dusted, currently half a bag of rubbish, drawers tidied up and old clothes thrown out....
Next is husbands stuff, which is the majority, but he can sort that, and hoover and change of bedding, then I'll be happy :laugh:

I have a whole chicken in the slow cooker and am making a pasta bake with it later and enough left over for another meal/sandwiches tomorrow :smile:
