Rain nearly off I think. Decent walk with the dog before lunch then head over to my folks for the rest of the day. Usually just involves sitting around chatting, watching tv and eating too much

You have my sympathies. I thought I had had an ok night but apparently my body disagrees. We got less than 3 miles into my ride this morning and it let me know it was not interested in life today and I had to cycle home very slowly. 5 miles took me around 40 minutes and I barely made it up the stairs to bed. Morphine and codeine plus the heat pack have all been needed. When my husband got home a hot chocolate was done for me to get my blood sugars back up followed quickly by an early lunch. I'm almost ads but will be needing another dose of morphine bet very soon and I have visitors this afternoon. I did think of cancelling them but it is my sister and her new boyfriend and fiance who I have never met and my sister has never been here before. It has taken her nearly 3 years to come to my home depot the fact she lives less than 25 miles away!Morning Teapups.
I had a horrendous night, consisting of painkillers and icepacks. I'm hoping it settles before Friday when we go away.

Aww SNSSO, I feel for you. I shouldn't complain as I know there are others so much worse than me, but it's hard when you live with it day in, day out.You have my sympathies. Wonder if that's the event the guy in the new Auchterarder bike shop was talking about. One of his riders did the Mackie Tankard in a time of 57.58. Would that have been the same event?Very funny Fat Boab! Although seeing guys coming in being disgusted at taking over an hour to do a 25 does make me wonder why I bother!!

One of our guys had virtual hypothermia (couldn't stop shivering), meanwhile I was as snug as a bug marshalling - 4 layers!

That's something I experienced when I did two 57min 25's a couple of years ago on an undulating course. Both races were on warm sunny evenings but the effort had taken so much out of me that you would have thought that I was on the North Pole in Winter for about an hour afterwards. When you go under the hour on a course that isn't a pan flat dragstrip both the mental and the physical effort can be quite intense.Very funny Fat Boab!
