That's something I experienced when I did two 57min 25's a couple of years ago on an undulating course. Both races were on warm sunny evenings but the effort had taken so much out of me that you would have thought that I was on the North Pole in Winter for about an hour afterwards. When you go under the hour on a course that isn't a pan flat dragstrip both the mental and the physical effort can be quite intense.

Chapeau for the effort!!

Yesterday morning I had a phone call from someone claiming to be from our internet provider, apparently they had had a high rate of calls to complain about the same problem and they believed there was a bug in the system so he called to help me resolve the issue. All I had to do was switch on my computer and follow his instructions...
I played dumb, not being very good with computers, and 'followed his instructions' when he asked me to press the ctrl button I asked him which one? there are 2 on here 1 on the left and 1 on the right, he asked me to press a particular key, I don't have that, I have 1 that looks like a maginifying glass, it looks like a stick with a circle on it. After many confusing questions from me making him constantly repeat himself I eventually managed to 'do as he suggested' and when he asked if I could see the windows icon I said no, perhaps I had pressed the wrong keys so he repeated to me again which keys I had to press, he asked me what I could see on my screen, I said 'nothing' could I see the windows icon? , madam if you press ***keys you should see a windows icon, me: I am not on windows, sorry madam? if you press the *** keys you should be able to see the windows icon, me: the thing is I have no idea who you are and yet you expect me to give you access to my computer, he hung up. So he wasn't really trying to help me then

He was very polite and I now know just how easy it would be to scam someone who wasn't savvy.

your visitors aren't too trying for you.
my visitors have tried my patience past the limit of being pushed.

my sister, with 10 minutes to go before she should have arrived, and taking into account that it would have taken an hour to drive to me, sent me a text message to say she wasn't coming because her boyfriend was ill.

Now I just want to shout, scream, yell and cry all at the same time. She will have known first thing this morning that he was ill (if he is indeed ill) and could have contacted me then. At the very minimum letting me know when they should have been leaving would have been polite. But to leave it until 10 minutes before she was due to arrive? I had even managed to bake some fresh bread and 2 batches of scones, and leave myself in agony because of it, not to mention exhausted and she does this to me? If she was a chosen friend, she would not be if you get my drift.

these do not come close to expressing how I feel (not to mention the tears from the depression I am suffering right now).

And I could really do with a really angry smilie that is running around in circles screaming. I do not know why my family think they can walk all over me and my emotions and do this to me. She hasn't even so much as spoken to me since my bad went! Not even when I went into hospital for the op, nor Christmas, nor my wedding anniversary nor my birthday...
