I think I'll need another cup of tea soon. Probably.

I don't drink a lot of tea. In the morning I much prefer coffee. I'll grind my own beans and do french press. When I do drink tea my favorite is Lapsang Souchong. Love the smokey nose and the full flavor. Occassionally I'll also have a cup of Chamomile. But again, it is the rare occassion that I drink tea.

I got lazy and bought a pod machine..
I was drinking far too much coffee, too easy to just press the button and set an amount..
I tried various beans and ended up using what I'd call supermarket Italian beans.
Previous to that I used an Aeropress..

Yep. Me too. I have a Keurig for when I get lazy and don't want to go through the entire ritual. Today was one of those days. But the coffee I make when I do have the time blows away anything I have found in a pod. Fortunately the ease of the Keurig has not translated into me drinking too much though. I still only had one cup today. I'll have one cup from the Keurig or two mugs from the french press.

Hereby lies the question..
Does rain bounce?
and how does it 'bounce', does the droplet expand or 'bend its shape?
Why doesn't it just not go 'splat'?

I only crossed over to bean to cup after a lifetime of instant..
I'm still trying to find the perfect coffee but cannot be bothered going through the fuss.
lazy, I guess...
I do find I have to filter the water for bean to cup...
yet pod seems to neither here nor there with tap water..

I jumped into the deep end with my coffee ritual. I buy fresh beans at a local roaster. I only buy as much as I can finish within a month. When I buy the beans they have typically been roasted only 3 or 4 days before. I also weigh both the water and the beans to ensure the proper coffee to water ratio. I have settled on 1:13. I time how long the grinds brew for, 4 minutes, then scoop the foam and floating grinds off the top and then time it to sit for an additional 7 minutes. I don't plunge the plunger but simply use it as a filter as I slowly pour the coffee into a mug. I then will usually drink it with heated skim milk to 140F that I have frothed with a manual flrother. I guess you'd call my drink a cafe au lait. Clearly I'm obsessive. Coffee isn't the only thing I'm obsessive about. I have a shaving obsession too, but that's boring.

The answer is not as simple as you may think. Kinetic and potential energy need to be taken into account.

Jeez...
that is dedication..
I just want a quick fix...
I got lazy by buying a machine that cuts off if you match the bars on the pod to the mark on the machine..
