It does tend to get darker at night. You don't get enough sun to burn the grass, or do you.
Once you'd fed your garden, you fed yourself I hope.
Bit of a mist, clearing slowly, down these parts.
It's not the sun but the chemical used to fertilise the grass more a scorch,
water just moves it into the soil where roots ingest the nitrogen to green up the grass...
I would think the amateur product will be just the same..
It doesn't take much water/rain..
i used the weed, feed and seed this time...
I'm well fed as my 'ahem' size suggests:laugh:

I'm stuck waiting on a delivery which is scheduled but no email arrived to tell me as they normally are good at doing...
made some soap:laugh:

Carry on:wacko:

Aware that if watered at the wrong time of day, the water droplets act much like magnifying glasses focussing the sun and burning the grass/leaves.
Weed, feed and seed. You're still sowing seeds!

Oh I will carry on, too late to give up now.

Why do you think I was watering at dusk?
Seed? thickening the grass^_^
Still the postage stamp at the front to do^_^at some point..

night off:wacko:

Well, as you said "I thought I'd water the grass (the feed in) last night just b4 9," I readily assumed dusk.
You want to be able to get your machete out and hack your path to the shed site?
Leave it alone for a month, completely ignore it. Then go out one morning...

Feet up, telly on and refreshments being brought from the kitchen to you.

Shed site ain't a week's trek away(yet)
Grass nice and trim..
maybe cut later or tomorrow, get Beag to assist:wacko:
I like grass, more pleasing to the eye than hard landscaping etc,
takes me 20 mins to cut/edge/strim everything..
in work times, I'd have got a minute or two to cut it
and that include litter checking it and sweeping up afterwards, those 'blowers'/strimmers are a godsend^_^
When I originally started with the council, we used scythes:ohmy:
better than strimmers once you get the knack...
Off to think about the bike..
a couple of folk out on hills with the radio back of lunchtime so maybe wait until then..

Owdo
Wet, Wet, Wet here. Although not as bad as earlier on, you'd have got soaked just thinking about going out. I'm blaming you for this.
You were a scythe swinger in days of old then. You catch many ankles?

Think about the bike, not about going somewhere on the bike.

You thinking about using child labour again. Or will they be "site foreman", letting you know you've missed bits.

I think you spend way too much time thinking about things, just my opinion...

Morning??

No ankles...
spacing was respected..
I found them better than a strimmer if the grass was dry.
Don't miss using strimmers in long grassy rough areas, oh, and I always wore a full face maskxx(

probably right, I think too much..
I should do what the Boss tells me, Beag? I'm sure he'll want to help..
more likely bolt when the mower starts up:laugh:

Out for a trip up over the same route today again, called out on the radio but nothing doing..
Off to see HF..

Stand easy:cuppa:

Good to hear. Surprising though.
They're quicker than a tractor mounted mower in the right hands.
You never know what a strimmer might throw into the air, especially the bladed ones.

Never said you think too much, at least you're giving your brain a workout. But, like any exercise, take it easy and don't overdo it.

You'll have the pair of them clout you one day if you're not careful.

HF quiet?

I know of a couple of quite nasty incidents with the metal blades,
a big 'no, no and no' even if they have got them right..
nasty.

It was blown 'open' Thurs after the ionosphere quietened down, back to normal levels, a couple of JA and other far Asian stations showing..

You may be waiting a while, then wished you hadn't. Mo to the east of you had light rain earlier, so you might have been missed out this time.

You'd not use one again, given the chance. Demonstrate your prowess with a sharp blade.

Your experiment in trying to create your own time-space continuum didn't work then.

I headed out just after a heavy shower but it was the last today (so far),
only a quick around the local block..

Grass, all trimmed and edged..
Good old rain watered the plants^_^

The JA's never wanted to know me:laugh:,
did just get an EA4 using a Giro addon to his call.
EA4***/GIRO
strange one.
I just can't catch the IL Giro event station at all..
Off to catch some more hopefully..

T'won't be the last today, unless you don't venture out, at which point you'll be soaked at the farthest point.
Saves you watering them.

Isn't there a written copy of radio etiquette, which says you're to treat everyone the same?

Stick to catch-up on the telly.

Everybody is the same, all allocated a callsign..
I've worked a Nobel Prize winner(more than once) amongst some other well kent faces...
I run a low power with TBH a inefficent antenna but some have BIG setups and run lots of power...
I'm happy working anyone..
I mean I've over 21,000 contacts in the log since 2009..
I got my licence twenty one year before that but fell away for quite a bit..
anyhow..

Thought you'd to acknowledge all calls received, is that no longer the case?
Last interest I showed in setting was the mid 90's, even taking up a college course to cover the electronics side. I've looked but gone no further since. No interest in all the paperwork required, finished it.

Enjoy your cuppa.

If someone calls or replies to me,
Aye.
It's pretty easy now to work through the process, three levels of licence, even do it online now....
each level has a power restriction and the odd band restriction.
I log everything, it's all backed up in various ways....
