Just a couple of early dog walkers.

Not really "busy" then. Didn't think there'd be many out and about around six. Even the postmen don't go out that early now.

I don't actually like weekends now as it's too busy on my favourite walks. Always glad when folks are away back to work and school and I get peace and quiet.

Any holidays I took when working was always at non peak times..
they insisted I had week long breaks during the year as I preferred just the odd day(or two) off.
Family holiday excepted
My working week for 30 odd years was basic week, Mon and Wed even and Saturday and whatever else I could get,
you think I was avoiding home
I miss the routine and the laughs I had working,
I don't miss stripping winter bedding out or spreading sand and salt ....

mind you, man is more fallible..
I've had a further look at narrowboats, some really luxurious ones out there.
I'd a short round the town cycle today.
One cache logged..
ended in a drizzly, breezy day..

There are some decent ones out there. Can cost as much as a small house though.

Nah, just a tupperware container with a couple of plastic animals, no log sheet and the inside was swimming in water...
That's me off the bike until Monday going by the forecast....

Was it the lid leaking or the general state of the container that allowed the water in?
We've snow forecast for the weekend. Doubt we'll see any though, too warm at present.

Wind is picking up slightly, rain now stopped. No snow, which was forecast.

Nip out on the bike, and you'll chill when you get the hose turned on you when you get back.

Could have nipped out mid afternoon locally, maybe tomorrow if I can catch a calm hour or two but -2c forecast

Haven't got any rum...
Idea, but none of that spiced stuff....
spent sometime, upgrading the SD card from one of my Pis,
new fork of Linux (think what it is called)
so all four feeders all updated plus installed the other three programs I use..
lost some records but that is more just to see how things are working,
I think...
