Morning all:hello:
'Tis a grand morning..
breezy, wet and saves me a plant water...
but I'll feed some..

Lazed it out 'till 6..
I've my own 'den', cables come through the roof:ohmy:
Owdo
Similar here overnight, now clear and close, with no breeze.
You mean some'll be going hungry.

Then you were made move?
These cables through the roof, they are safe aren't they.

Fair enough.
Must make them hard reach though.

Only the one, and nothing to gauge the size in sight, won't go far. Consume slowly, if not already consumed.

It's the largest and first to colour.
Still a bit to ripen...
A competition between the three plants as to best 'producer' is the plant of choice for next year...
that one above is 'Beefsteak' or something like that...
'Ailsa Craig' and 'Moneymaker' are the other two..
and looking like no one is running away with it so far....
'Alicante' crashed and burned:cuppa:

No tomato sarnie just yet then. I can picture you checking it every time you go past it.
You'll go to check one day, and it'll be gone.

Think "Moneymaker" may not be making much for you.
Are they names you gave them, or are they breed names.
"Alicante" might bounce back, unless it's already binned.

Alicante got howked as we say oop here..
Youngest Mhor texted me this morning as her first 'mato showed its face.
I gave her two cherry type plants,
it has 'pimples' but this is the first sized one...
Mrs M asked it tomato sarnies tomorrow...
nay, lass, a couple of days yet..

I brought on sunflowers from seed and sis in law has one that has gone to 8ft tall, 1.8m it said on packet:laugh:
been a fun year..
I wonder if there is a spare allotment going...

Is that owt like potato howking?

Tomatoes have faces up there, north o'border!!
Cherry tomatoes, not the real deal then.
Keep an eye on that tomato, it'll "disappear", like I said. There one minute gone the next. You were warned.

At least she can't complain about it not growing to the height it stated on the packet. She'll have green fingers before she knows what's what.

Can't you just "acquire" one from a previous owner. One who suddenly disappears?

I had grown a couple of that Cherry variety last year and they ere sweet and tasty as h.
I've another turning red so no fighting for the first one

Every time I visited dad I used to pick and eat at least half a dozen straight off the vine. Bloody delicious. I should really try and grow an outdoor one myself. Dad used to give me a couple of vines grown on in a bucket and I just popped them next to the garage where they got a bit of sun and they did ok.

Bright enough, dry as well
I'll try

You didn't feed it as much as the others, that were producing results.

You'll have to get round yer youngests house, help yerself to hers. Waste not, want not and all that.
Why not proper sized tomatoes. No matter how sweet or tasty the cherry versions.
You've two to lose now. Both eyes required on them.

Give you summat to do instead of watching daytime telly.
Then you'll have all the gardening ones to watch, showing you what yours should be looking like.

The ones I grow only really get a short time of direct sunshine,
they really need much more but I'm getting a return from them..
I should get a greenhouse but think all the little side projects, peas, tattie bags etc are enough going forward,
it's the fun of growing things from scratch (I did buy the tomato plants this year)
I supply my family with sunflower plants, sweet peas etc so guess I'm doing not bad...
That tomato may be gone by the time you read this:cuppa:

All dealt the same love and affection....
It just couldn't handle it.....

I think one of the two of them will scoff it even with an aversion to toms.
