I love the smell of hot tar early in the morning.....
8.01 am jackhammer going along the road a bit
I was up, lots wouldn't be but are now

Hot tar and they're only starting the work!
Jackhammer at 8:01 on a Sunday is too early, by around two hours. You went to investigate of course.
There'll be some who slept through it, oblivious to what was going on outside.

Anyhoo, next time it'll be higher up and a sunset watch..
I do miss the west coast sunsets..

Maybe, but it may end up costing them.
You do that. Then you can walk back down in the dark.
The simple things, that cost nothing, are often the most missed.
At, you get out there, upandatom.

We used to fire up our machines at 8.05 if out on a Sunday
I'm up, everybody's awake

Ended out on the bike later than I should have,
it was hot out..

rain and thunder hiding from us...
hope not to heavy as on baked ground not wanted...

That'd be just mean, as for Sunday work you'd not be allowed to down here.

You get far on the bike, garden gate, end of the street, before saying it wasn't a good idea.
Just as in Southern California, there's some praying for rain. If we don't get a decent thunderstorm to go with it, we'll have this weather 'til month end.

That was always headed for northern Scotland, at best.

You've had thunder, and lightning!

Not been following it. Can say I knew of one find earlier in the year. Given the water is going down, now would be the time they'd start showing up.

Has the volcano erupting in Iceland had any impact on the playing with the radio?

Torrential rain...with a capitol T..
getting flashes and following rumbles....streets will not be dusty tomorrow.

Glad I got my early donder done. Rain is back on now. It's still not cooled the air down much so far. Just watching the women's marathon from the European games in Munich. Commentators said it was warm and humid there too. I don't envy them.

Far bit of power in one of those lightning strikes. Wouldn't want to be near one.

Mars didn't hold the lightning bolt, did he? Or was that just the noisy chariot.

Gonna remain muggy.

You should have gone with them. Coached them from the sideline as it were.
