Maybe you should have. Walking on the ceiling as the young un walks in would have him wondering. To say the least.
There's some decent silly string ones out there. Cans are smaller though and I don't think they take a lot of weight.

You could try, then you'll know.

I'd enough beets for that....
handy though..
guttering removed, washed and now stacked by in the garage

Wot next year?
Strawberries, more beets, salad stuff, 'erbs ? Or.....
It's all good fun....

You'll not be getting pickled yerssen then?
Taking up very little storage space.

Keep an eye open for building work that may be taking place before you plant out next year. You might get some industrial sized guttering for next to nowt.
How about leeks?

Thought the spuds were gone for this year.

Rhubarb & Ginger botanical led...(rin-tin-tin buzzword)
Funny enough, Mrs M had to search out a leek for soup last week.....
Local freezer shop had no frozen sliced ones....
I could do some 'containers' as plenty of space down the pathway at side of the building..
peas, spuds are grown there so nay problemo....

supposed to be throwing up another couple of fields worth of houses adjacent to us...

spuds haven't been touched, two bags planted a month apart..
King Eddies and maybe next week? or the next for first crop.....

Wrong location to be honest, sun doesn't get to them until after 4pm but it works..
If rain stays away, I might get the grass cut..

In the long run, shop bought would have been mucho cheaper if truth told...

I'll plan it over the winter, peppers might be a change from tomatoes but the plant I had last year had flower drop off problems....

Winter is enough time to think....
