The rain 'cup' mechanism was free, it just wasn't recording the correct amount and by a long way..
I occasionally check against a couple of stations nearby me and anything this month was way, way out.
I washed out, blew compressed air though and nope, still wasn't right...
Oh well, now replaced (and some money back)....

Sticky bun was scrumptious as was Bob's King Eddie spuds.....

me - 15.80 nearby 24.84
and that is just a sample.
some days I didn't record anything and other did up to 8mm plus..
I know variation in say 2 mile but it's been like that for over a month.

That's bad, how long do you reckon it was supplying false readings.

Of course, I use rainy days for domestics..
unless we have prolonged sunny days..
the smell of bleach must pervade around the Towers
with a hint occasionally of Mandarin & Lime

You have rain, have you looked to make certain?
Must get plenty done in the darker months of shorter days then. You ever get ahead of yerssen.
Don't you ever cheat and just leave the open bottle, out of reach of small hands, in various rooms. Followed by a 1/4 lime.

A cuppa never goes amiss on parcel duty.
Pace yerssen.
