Say again, Over!Keek
Say again, Over!
OwdoGood afternoon
I forgot my password on my secret mission down south...
Couldn't be erchied faffing about (in case they traced me)..
Hope all is well with you...
Sssh, don't tell them...
Roger that...KEEK, over and out...
Secret mission accomplished,
That secret, I took my memory loss pills and forgot I was down south.
I was wondering why the Welcome to Scotland road sign was there..shrug
Busy morning again,
Nursie again , am on first-name terms with everybody now.
Arrived at a weird email from the land of Port,
opo said I sent a duplicate card, and could I delete it please.
I was in a s*** frame of mind so I hit delete on everything to do with it..
He said delete please so I did,
He also had verified the contact on another two websites so ?????????
Anyway polite email returned saying not a duplicate any more as I deleted all traces...
Roger that...
Yer safe n'sound in yer own home again. Away from those who may be seeking you...
We sent a raiding party up to move the signs further north. Sow the seeds of doubt in folks minds as to whether they were still in Scotland or as the signs were "showing", entering Scotland from England. Next week we move them the other way...
Thought they'd told you to rest? And here they are getting you doing stuff.
Land of Port, not Milk and Honey! How weird an email...
You sent two cards, physical cards, to the same person and they said you were wrong. Have you asked them to return the duplicate card?
One of those mornings were it...
They remain an uncontacted contact, that you could contact in the future for further first contact!
Yer certain yer back though!I know when I'm back,
my strength returns...
it was a random thing booked not long before we headed, one night stay in the cheap part of the Lakes,
we headed through Carlisle as I asked if we could go over the Shap, memories..
A long way round to where we were staying, visited our friends the next afternoon before heading home...
We were under 3 hours heading home, so not bad.
A bit longer drive to get there but hey....
Next trip? who knows
Yer certain yer back though!
Yer able to leap tall miniature buildings in a single stride...
Cheap part of the lakes, where's that? Almost a spur of the moment trip then. Who booked it.
Happy or sad memories...
You slept in yer car, saving money and seeing the sunrise.
I'll take yer word on trip time.
If you insist on diversions, what'd you expect...
Mrs Mhor knows I bet...
Enjoyed yerself, and behaved, on yer latest trip?
None of this Oy, or Ayup from yourself then.Impeccably behaved, as usual.
Saying Please and Thank You at the correct times..
I was trained well as a yunk....
Gave up leaping tall buildings, a bit messy if I should ever trip on one, plus at my age, a bit naff.
Mentioned in the car, straight home, checked availability and booked, Sunday night is always much cheaper, due to nursey stuff on the Tue, one night was agreed, leave awfy early in the morning and this time a sentimental run up over the Shap road.
Don't think a Clio would be a comfortable doss house for the night, no inside bog![]()
Normally we do a touristy type route home, but as we arrived in darkness, we just used the motorway.
We play count the DPD vans...
Best on the early jaunt down..
The music en route can be all over the place.
Listening to a strange but very interesting audiobook 'Sapiens', lots of big words used...13 hrs plus to go..
Living up ti its billing, may as well get something back from the Library.
In a hold queue for wee Nicola's book..
Ages to wait, pretty popular it seems..
Bernard Cribbins one available so quite fancy that..
Parcel man due and two little girls....
I may have a video of our new addition to the Bob family to post later, his name is Amble....
That's Amble?
None of this Oy, or Ayup from yourself then.
You got the ruler across yer knuckles when you didn't, as a yunk.
You stay away from model villages now then at GC's you visit.
Getting harder work out which day(s) of the week would be cheaper, as everyone is trying the same thing now. The one night enough to get you saying "We'll have to go back, a bit longer next time."
Talked about in the car, home to check, book and you were off. Bags packed beforehand...
Shap's memories sweet?
Have you tried, it's like camping you'd go outside. Cheaper than booking into a place for the one night.
Who won the count the DPD van competition.
Tuning in to local stations can produce a slightly weird effect, music wise.
This audio book, in what format is it held. Last remember seeing them on tape, but they still advertise them. They must have moved on!
Would that be Nicola of fish fame?
Cribbens, not heard that name in a long while. He still going then?
Posting the two girls, is it any cheaper/quicker than collecting them yerself.
Is it fair on the parcel man...
Honestly, the names some people give their kids these days. I thought you were down to earth on such matters.
You reprising yer previous role already..That's my reindeer...
voice a bit too human-like like so obviously not him singing, fake news..
Kids still wondering about it....
Amble? bought in Ambleside, comprende?
At least I were thinking of the same person again.Nicola of ex First Minster status..
Just thought ole Cribbs might have some funny stories to tell, all done by app through local library.
E-books too..
I always laugh at the cost of ebooks as no printing, just a download and almost same cost as a hard/paperback, library books can out countless times but E stuff is only so many borrows.
I don't trust buying any E stuff as some stuff really isn't yours, only the licence to keep while they let you.
I'm a member of a national organisation, recently they offered an online version magazine instead of sending you a printed copy, a saving of £6 for 12 issues, They have recently put out a press release saying how much the print copy costs between printing, packaging and sending.
Go back10 years plus, I ran the website for one of Scotland fishing orgs.
I prosposed the same idea as 90% of annual fee was taken up with a 4 times ayear mag, as usual, it was a committee members pal who printed them, I costed everything and the cost of putting security software like someone giving all his mates his password etc, itemised downloading by who etc etc, flagging up any irregularities, no, I want a paper copy said the bloke they all agreed with, I reckon instead of 90, it would be 33% at the most as the mag is made in say a pdf form then the printers do their thing, it ended up someone's girlfriend was in the printing business and eventually got it down to 50% of the price. Never trust anyone who says I've a mate who can do it.
Golf club..
I offered to build and maintain a website for them and as a gesture, I'd pay the hosting fees for the first two years. I built the bones of the site and I had someone do fly overs of the first 4 holes using a drone (lad was a TV camera man so no buckshee film work), my son and I looked and picked best bits out of hundreds of golf sites. The committee knew I was working on it, one of the committee's nephew rattled up something on a free Wordpress blog and they gave him a ticket for the season, 300 odd quids worth.
I popped in and got my proposed site up on the club office computer just to show them, then told them to f themselves when they pleaded for me to finish it...
You reprising yer previous role already..
What's a reindeer sound like, when its singing anyway.
Out for dinner courtesy of Maccy...
Traded in my winnings for food....
He disappears come Christmas time, that'll be all yer proof...
Good job he wasn't bought in Coniston then. There'd be questions over the name, if you used the same method to choose the name.
At least I were thinking of the same person again.
Did Bernard have anything funny to listen to.
There's ebooks available to download and read in the local libraries. Not too certain about audio books though.
Not a fan due to too much being asked on top of what the council already know about me, shared with the companies behind the apps.
I've tried some of the magazines available. Apps already downloaded on a council tablet, signing in as a guest. And there were offers just like the one you mention. Price might seem good, but I'm a fan of re-reading older copies. As and when I want, downloaded copies lasted thirty days to three months, then they went. Which would have left me with nowt to show, or read, for me money.
You put in a bill for yer work in pricing everything up for them to turn down?
Which annoyed you the most. The fact that a cheaper version was "knocked up" by a committee members relative, who must have been aware of your work, ongoing, on the project. Or not getting the work you'd done on display to a wider audience.
You'd be safer away from the golf club now anyway, just in case you and said nephew ever crossed paths.
