It's all down to each separate movement. Say the first layer is a lower speed for laying down a steady base, there are all different speeds for each action, which can be altered by me if I want, but I just use the recommended speeds for my printer by the 'slicing' program, obviously 'pre-sets'.
I have pressed the button to self-level the machine, and it goes through a sequence.
IfI use say Prusa, I alter the travel lift(nozzle moving to another position) to 0.4 from 0, as it (hopefully) eliminates any marking by the nozzle travelling. I drop the temperature to 200°C from 210 °C,
The PLAs I use will work at anything from 190°C to 210); this program seems to work better at 200.

Levelling now complete, the machine automatically adjusts to the differences. I could change the top right area, but the machine makes these allowances...All I then did was set the X axis to 1.60, which I find to be the best. Voila.....

I've nothing planned to print so.....will have a look about or just do a 'Benchy' I have enough lucky cats (Maneki Neki)
It were as much the speed increase as it moved back on itself that had me wondering, and asking. There's a fair difference, as it's still laying plastic down at the time. You installed any more "updates" of late?
Me, I'd be inclined to go with the printer settings, unless it were a purely experimental piece to test settings.

Is there much of a difference between how it was and now?
Which is the X axis, given yer printing in 3D.

Nothing you could print to test the printer, suitable for christmas?

Makes sense, sorta, when you see the thing in various stages of the print.

Gotta ask, other than a test piece what is it?

Plays now, I set a time for it to go public....
Epple phone holder (no phone case version)
It took just under 70 mins, a quick quick one...

NO oops moment

I've used Epple for a few years now.
Only one of the family uses Android.... the youngest Mhors' pal wanted one, so she got two.
That is the no case version, free of course.

Where'd the idea that you didn't like Epple come from I wonder?
A "no case" epple = no plastic aftersales case?
Nice Christmas present from you. Made with the sweat of yer own hands.

Some Christmas things this afternoon..
I got busy with the kids earlier..
It's nuts when they are cooped up inside.

Question :
The guy walking around the world to return to Hull next year, have you been reading about it? Some story, hope he writes a book about it....

It's still November, what yer teaching them!
Did you keep it good, clean fun, or did it descend into chaos.
What do you do when it's raining?

Answer :
Probably aware of him when he set off, and possibly at some points along the way. Other than that "No".
Any idea how he crossed the Bering Strait, or the Atlantic and Pacific?

man walking home since 1988
What were you trying to post for it to do that!

I found a few pieces on him, but they don't say how he managed to cross the two largest oceans on this planet, on foot.
He swam the Caspian Sea, got friendly with soviet and chinese officials. And if he's not allowed to use the channel tunnel, he's going to swim the channel. Then walk back up north.
