It’s through here, but not sure for how long. Probably waiting on me risking another wander.

Get a Rainmate
It's getting a bit boring all this rain...
I've set myself next Thursday to have a very easy short trip out on the bike...
I honestly don't mind cycling the rain but the wind is different..
No swimming in the river though:whistle:
and of course, Hi:cuppa:

Good afternoon peeps :hello:
Another dreich day in Bob County...
There is a Sun up in the clouds somewhere, I'm sure there is..:cuppa:
Owdo
It started dry, with a frost here, turned wet around dinnertime.
I think it may have gone pay to view.

Too many sweet things on offer.
I'm abstaining from goodies henchforth..
Back to the oats and gruel:cuppa:
Be bad manners not to eat what were put before you.
You can never eat too much...
It's now a simple case of working out when yer next due to eat, all the while hoping it's not that far away.
How long do you think that'll last?
Nose to the grindstone as well no doubt...

I'd bacon sarnies instead...
Mind you I could live on the oats...
Call its bluff and go out.
I've pencilled Thurs but a very gentle wee short trip..
I'll go investigate what they have done in the start of upgrading the cycle track which will eventually end up at the local tourist spot, the Wheel...
be handy if they hurry up....
been proposed for years,
the bypass road opened a year or two ago was first proposed in 1973....
handy as anything for us...
Off to log up,
late tonight as got power supply leads trimmed and crimped in to new thingies and I'll run some hot solder down them tomorrow at some point..

Where were here, when it showed itself/appeared...

Refused chocolate!
Yer were delusional, not well.
Normally I'd say see a doctor, or nurse, but you're only recently finished with them.
All for yerself the porridge.

You do know they say bacon is bad for you.
Especially if a large enough piece were to hit you...
Oats alone or mixed with a little water?

And if it's raining Thursday?
They're bound to have done something since you last rode over those parts. Maybe even as far as putting barriers up...
Hurry up? They don't like rushing in to this type of work you know. Nor rush it once they've "started".
1973. Weren't that long a wait then, when did they propose the cyclepath?
You'll be all logged out by now I suppose.
Trimmed and crimped, you've been busy. As for the solder, I'd advise the hot stuff as it flows better than the cold stuff. Any day...
You'll be putting heatshrink insulation on the connectors no doubt.

Good morning campers :hello:
A new week, a new dawn?
Not for me, the same old drudgery..

Thought we'd head out and do the 'soup and sandwich' lunch thing..
We'll do 'local', a KM away..
Closed for remedial upscaling work..Oh well, home for a cheaper version....

It'll be the next new fine day..
I have to ease into it..

Soldering all done, hot eh? I wondered why it never worked cold..
Main computer side to do now, I'll do it after the grey line fades away...

Oats from a German place,
half water, half milk then microwaved (much cleaner and less messy)
and taste the same....
About the heat shrink, well, I found it later...but all finished off good.
I have an Anderson Powerpole strip I should run everything off....

Cycle path? was one but not over the motorway then a couple of mile to the Wheel area.
I dunno tbh, we'd been told about by wifie who owned(maybe still does) the place we had intended to lunch today, so maybe kick on with pts 3 and 4 now. Almost 7 years ago now, we'd use it for somewhere to eat when house hunting through here, I'm sure it was today's date, I placed the deposit on this place.
Sadly the two best situated for radio stuff, were no good for us, this place is ideal for the family, far enough yet still handy.
Off to check a print

What yer done with the old ones then?
Got close to not being here last night. Some idiot on a train said he'd a bomb on him.
Police attended the station, cuffed him and then marched him off none too happy with him.

What counts as local for yerself when Mrs M is driving you around.
Did they know you were coming and just shut up shop, with everyone hiding out of sight.

You might be waiting a while then.
No point in risking injury so soon. Imagine the looks yer'd get if you were to hobble in to see the nurses again..

Every days a schoolday, or so they say. Now you know as well.
Grey line? What colour could it fade to...

German oats, in Scotland. What'll be next...
Doesn't spatter the inside of yer microwave then.
I'll take yer word on them tasting the same, never having cooked them in a microwave.
Found it once everything else were completed. Sounds like what happens normally. No shorts?
Sounds a useful tool.

Got you to the motorway, before leaving you to find yer own way across it. You ever considered building a set of ramps to get up and over.
Celebratory "soup and sandwich" thingie didn't go quite as planned. Who did the planning...
Print going okay?

Evil Kinbobble, dats a me....

Oats at from the land of the fair and wonderful (J/land, of course) but sold by an incoming fine establishment..

Grey Line.. much easier than me trying to hurt my mind at this time.
In ham radio refers to the twilight zone seperating daylight and darkness, which acts as a powerful, temporary enhancement for long-distance (DX) HF communication at dawn and dusk. During this time, the D layer of the ionosphere dissipates, eliminating signal absorption, while the F layer remains ionized, allowing for low-loss, worldwide skip propagation.

  • When It Happens: Occurs roughly 30-60 minutes before and after local sunrise and sunset.
  • Why It Works: The "terminator" (line between day/night) has low atmospheric interference, enabling signals to travel along it with less energy absorption.
  • Best Bands: It is most effective for lower HF frequencies, specifically 160m, 80m, and 40m, though it can affect 30m and 20m as well.
  • Directionality: Signals tend to propagate along the line of the terminator, allowing for strong signals to locations otherwise unreachable.
  • Usage: It is often used for "Super DX" contacts, with many operators using software like WSPR or FT8 to exploit these times.

Prints all doing well.. I ordered a spare PEI plate
