I thought I would be a lot slower in the rain, but I have just ridden to work in 16 minutes, it usually takes me 20. I have also discovered I need mudguards on my bike, I am absolutely filthy. As you all know, I know nothing about these things, are they easy to get and fix to my bike?
They can be tricky. My first go I had bits pinging everywhere and a lot of cursing. Lol. I eventually found, after fitting a couple of sets, that if the stays need cut to length, the best way was to fit everything together and get the guards sitting nicely, tighten everything up and then snip the ends off with a decent pair of bolt cutters.

Oh, they can see you. However, cyclists just don't count on their list of entities that should be saved from extinction!!
When we were kids, the parents used to get us to count all the motorbikes and all the push bikes that we saw. We would have a pencil and paper and do tally scoring. Left for motorbikes and right for pushbikes. This has left me with a natural inclination to notice motorbikes and real bikes when I'm driving. Maybe all parents should have the bike spotting game for their kids.
Obviously there are plenty of people out there who think that we are the cockroaches of the road and should be shot at birth but at least they will register our existence before the close pass.

I'd QUOTE="Smithbat, post: 4272585, member: 42765"]I see what you mean, do you think it would be best for me to go to my LBS and ask them to do it for me? Him Indoors is not home for 2 weeks so I cant ask him.[/QUOTE]
I'd pop into hallfords and ask how much they would charge to fit them! But they are running free bicycle maintenance class for ladys this week so mabe you could go and they could help you fit them and pick a few tips free!
