Hello tea folk. My wife has gone away for 5 days with our daughter in Spain, and I've just had a phone call to say my mother has been carted off to hospital in an ambulance with heart problems. Time for some Pink Floyd.......

Thanks. So do I. She's 84.

Ahh. Bless her. I know how scary it can be when an elderly parent is taken ill. Last year my mum was taken to hospital with sepsis. She was 95. She was in hospital for 3 weeks, luckily, she came through ok, and is doing great now.

Thanks. I've just heard from her. She is stabilising, and feels much better. She hopes to be discharged in the morning.

It helps to see where I'm walking! Lol. Although, I suppose I could wear my head torch. Be a bit lighter after the clocks go back, at least for a week or two anyway.
