Found this today..

Bicycles are considered, calorie for calorie, the most efficient means of transportation. While not a perfect comparison, if a car was anywhere near as energy efficient as a bicycle, it could potentially get a staggering 912 miles per gallon.

The flip side of this, of course is that it isn't as effective as I tell my wife for reducing weight.

This means I have to ride much more and much further to achieve the desired effect.

Life can be hard.

Free wheeling with a tailwind?
The prevailing wind is always almost in my face heading uphill gradually homewards.

D*mn.

Best excuse so far ausbusted...
I did drop almost 3 stone a few years ago when I tried sensibly eating, homemade bread amongst other things are my downfall

Used to cycle over a thousand a month and never lost any weight.
No wonder, no or very little air resistance, Bones..
the wind just goes through you
