Who’s Bob:ohmy:

Its leaving the area with me having spent all my life looking at the Clyde Estuary 😢
Just spent the last few minutes looking to see how I can cycle over to here (youngest) ..
Rover and Tiddles now swimming happily downstairs :okay:

Good morning to all:hello:
Visit to the new Towers this morning,
am I supposed to get excited :hello:
Hopefully instead of saying they are working to the proposed date, they’ll say keys Thursday :cuppa:
Busy day apart from that, on a visit to Beag’s other granny yesterday, we got a quick glance before he got back eating his fruit, ignored for a bowl of fresh fruit
Enjoy your day:okay:
I found this really quite surprising but like you I was brought up beside the sea and we moved to our temporary home in sunny Dumbarton which was great ad I used to walk next doors dog down to the castle to watch the boats make their way up and down the clyde. Finally moved to our full time home away from the sea and I hated it. Great house in a great area but definitely miss being beside the sea, which is something I never even considered as a thing until it wasn't there.

Although I’ve no desire to move, if I did, I fancy the seaside. Used to love holidays in Stonehaven near Aberdeen and some of the Fife coastal villages are lovely too.

Just a bit up from Stonehaven is one of my favourite places (for various reasons) in Muchalls. I had a job offer and almost moved up there but in the end decided against it. I made the right decision regarding the job, but they do have a number of great places to live along the coast up there.

Move down to the North Yorkshire coast, or even Leeds. Both were good enough for J.L. Baird. The sea air gave him the inspiration, Leeds gave him somewhere to demonstrate his television.

I can see the burn off at Grangemouth
I lived in Largs in the 70s and nothing beat a stroll along the front esp on a winter night. The Forth hasn’t the same magic as the Alexander Brothers never sang about it:laugh:, family are all east of Glasgow plus after six month three days per week to babysit Beag and the traffic nightmares, it was a no brainer. I’m 130 ft asl which much less than the 460in the Port....

On the downside, that last part means more hills. Both up and down!

You'll be getting your head down soon I take it?

This is one thing I don't like so much about where we live: it's alovely place but couldn't be much further from the sea. In fact, we're closer to Genoa in Italy than we are to the north sea coast...

So which way would you head on the bike? And what's stopping you!
Morning. Back to frost this morning. Only minus 1 but the cars are covered with ice.
A walk then delivery waiting today.
Only minus one, you'll have had no need of a coat this morning then.

Getting ahead of yourself, you're a week early with your delivery.

Morning??

Interesting to read about Dumbarton. I lived in Bowling for 12 years which is just up the road from there and we made use of Dumbarton library and swimming pool which we missed a lot when we moved away.
I hope to spend Christmas and new year within sight of Connel Bridge and easy reach of a good cycle path.
I like Stonehaven but unlikely to be back since I no longer have a motorhome and the site there does not take tents.
