No, I can't help out as carers/family aren't allowed into the Day Centre at the moment - Covid, of course. If I talk to staff it's only when I'm dropping Mrs B off, or collecting her, and that would mean talking in front of Mrs B and setting her off - I can only take so much of a single song!
It's that time of year where the playlists get reduced to around the same dozen, every day. Lovely when you work in a shop for 12 hours a day.

'Morning folks :hello:

Been busy dropping Mrs B at Day Care, shifting funds around so my deposit etc can be paid, collecting a script from the GP, doing some housework - now having a :cuppa: before more housework and picking Mrs B up again .

Owdo

This "shifting funds around" sounds dodgy. You've been hiding it under the mattress and now you're paying it in. Don't suppose they'd accept cash payments at present.

I remember the shifting funds bit..
I had the opportunity to run away

but I knew I'd be tracked down^_^

in Europe, yes...
Why go somewhere you knew you'd be caught.
A man on a bicycle wouldn't have been that far out of place in most places anyway. By the time they caught up with you, the money could have been safe in a Swiss bank.

Nah, from rainy day savings a/c's into current a/c's. The rainy days have arrived and the spending is going to begin^_^^_^.

In any case, it's not worth saving theses days. Even when we are settled and have all the refurb work done we'll most likely embark on a regimen of continuous retail therapy just to keep our spirits up - a lot of our stuff needs replacing anyway.:okay:

New wall mounted telly, big enough to watch from outside. New kettle, sweeping brush head(handle is still okay), that sort of thing?

Exactly that sort of thing.

Just as well I got a notion to transfer those funds as my solicitor phoned to ask if I could proceed immediately with our purchase because the vendor's health has deteriorated and her family want to get things completed immediately. I've given the go-ahead to this as it suits very well - more time to get cleaning and get contractors in to price work before we have to move in.

Things are going to get hectic very quickly. No problems though as we have our goal to work towards and I'd like to think we will be well settled by Spring. It will be lovely to have the place refurbished and there to be enjoyed next Summer - I hope we get good weather to enjoy the house and garden.

Jam or cream?
Although you'd be able to afford both, in the same roll, with your new account.

What'd be too hot, Switzerland, they've snow there. The odd hill or two as well.

Deposit the money get on your bike, head for Ireland, and you can end your days fly fishing.

Out of the old and into the new for next month then. You got an inclination to buy a lottery ticket this week?
