Probably a bit dangerous going round collecting cash nowadays.
Lots of nasty people about also does the pools man still do the rounds?
Do the pools still exist?
I religiously did the pools every week
There is an online presence, company based in Scouse land so more likely one of the old style companies.
Might have a go, 1 quid per line..
Luxury, I'll believe you, especially about the pickled onions.
You bought a pickled onion from the chippy. See sense prevailed in the wet.
We used to buy the big jars from the cash and carry, onions marinated is acetic acid which could be used as paint stripper, none of the poncy fancy pickled ones with the caramel colouring.
Don't start me about those pickled gherkins.....
Rowats and Gold Star were the favoured brands..
I knew a bloke who worked in the pickle factory and each day was a different label going on the jars, same pickles different supermarket.
Freebies:cuppa:
Just had a nice cup of green
Never tried it, more a Twinings man myself.
None of that Yorkshire pee:ohmy:

Ayup
Five: Four, Fourth: Five sort of thing?
Littlewoods were swallowed up by Vernons, leaving only the latter doing the pools now. I only know because I checked to see if they were still there.
Spot the ball as well, maybe!

That bloke gave you the taste for pickled onions. He awt to be ashamed, picking on a young in like you(At the time anyway). Did he also introduce you to pickled eggs.

Less of that...

I noticed all the exposed cars were frosted over when I was setting off on my early wander. It was bloody freezing. Climbed up The Knock again and it was ok going up but I got colder and colder on the descent. Just finished a bowl of porridge so feeling warmer now.
Good on yer..
I'm still to enjoy my bowl of oats...
I haven't moved from this chair for ages:laugh:

Wonder if I should try a wee out later
but this damn cold is my chest..
Where's the Vick when you need it:ohmy:
Sod it:cuppa:

Were their ball joints on the road, having fallen off in the cold?

Yer warmed up now and won't be going out again.

non, non, non for pickled eggs..
I've always had a passion for pickled onions, gherkins, beetroot and mussels but only with that strong vinegar..

Might have a line at the pools for old times sake...
