I religiously did the pools every weekProbably a bit dangerous going round collecting cash nowadays.
Lots of nasty people about also does the pools man still do the rounds?
Do the pools still exist?
We used to buy the big jars from the cash and carry, onions marinated is acetic acid which could be used as paint stripper, none of the poncy fancy pickled ones with the caramel colouring.Luxury, I'll believe you, especially about the pickled onions.
You bought a pickled onion from the chippy. See sense prevailed in the wet.
Never tried it, more a Twinings man myself.Just had a nice cup of green

I noticed all the exposed cars were frosted over when I was setting off on my early wander. It was bloody freezing. Climbed up The Knock again and it was ok going up but I got colder and colder on the descent. Just finished a bowl of porridge so feeling warmer now.Frozen windscreen to report..

Littlewoods were swallowed up by Vernons, leaving only the latter doing the pools now. I only know because I checked to see if they were still there.
Spot the ball as well, maybe!
That bloke gave you the taste for pickled onions. He awt to be ashamed, picking on a young in like you(At the time anyway). Did he also introduce you to pickled eggs.
