I'm chasing folk all around the HF spectrum...
a kinda 48 hour contest, not the normal hell for leather type but as they say

think the translation may need tweaked:laugh:
Roughly from the time each 'macro (message') is sent,
newer modes are quicker 13.2 secs for one and 6.2 for another..
this one is 49 secs per message so technically can be 4 mins per contact.
I'm sitting at 49 just now, I got 61 last year same contest and low down the pecking order but I'm a wee 'gun' against the big boys...
I get this impressive piece of A4

Was getting worried there, for a minute.
Basically you're on yer erchie chasing folk, with another thirty six hours to go. Will yer erchie be any use after this?

What's yer target this year. And why aren't you up there with the "big boys"?

Who signs it!
Is it an actual paper certificate, and will you be happy with what you get?

It's a Sat/Sun thing..
I was late to the party..as usual..

sitting on 60 , some of the Bob mob appeared so radio was up in the air..
Just not long back to it...
last years total now equalled:okay:

Living in an environment like here, running power affects all sorted of cheapo imported electrical goods (even named goods).
Once an antenna gets shown to the world, you get blamed for everything..

I'm happy with what i do...

You slept in and missed the start!
They came bearing gifts?
And you're settling with matching last years figure.
When all the tellies go, you're to blame. Not anything else could do it.

I know one place that finally managed to break into double figures when they, illegally, fitted a 500 foot horizontal ariel. Prior to that they were struggling to get into double figures in a day.

If you didn't enjoy it, you'd not do it.
So enjoy

Thing about TVI, most cases it is poor filtering built in...
to get the CE rating, you have to have filtering to a certain standard but nowadays it's all chips etc which are very susceptible to RFI...
the rules have been weakened over the years...
it used to be if I had a test transmission, I had to log it and any other transmissions I made, contacts, time, location, power etc but even that is no longer the rule, I don't need to keep any log...
Too much cheap imported electrical equipment with insufficient filtering...
I use internet boosters which have been fitted with filtering for the ham bands and they work excellent.

Anyhow, 77 contacts, I just had enough...
I'll send my log and wait and see, hopefully top 100 :laugh:
I use an 9:1 UNUN and 7.3m of copper wire...
(my loft space has I dunno how many antennas up there:laugh:)

CE rating isn't worth the trouble of bothering with it these days.

Don't you keep a log anyway?
I was thinking more of mobile masts that may be nearby causing issues.

Have you any space left in the loft.

I log everything:laugh:

I log electronically then have a paper log which isn't a paper log as such, I just haven't printed the individual sheets off, it's up to 1082 now:laugh:
I log benchmarks, this cubesat thing I'm doing, daily plane numbers, all my WX stats (snip and save in jpg), might be something else:laugh:, all backed up to at least two or three places online...
Aye, maybe a small antenna could go in, I've two loops I could fit (4m and 2m)..

After compiling the file I had to sent to the organiser, I had one which looked out of place, it had been an unverified finish so now 76, I'll take that, log emailed off now to wait:okay:
Aye, first call I made was 8am local Sat, I wasn't at radio all the time, I could have carried on last night but nah, mind blown with it:laugh:
