20% increase in Beer and bun wages
I've just walked 8 miles in a steady drizzle.
Our bin men/recycling centre are on strike till Tuesday and our posties are picketing outside the post office. Not sure where their employers are going to find extra money to give them. It'll be that magic money tree again.

What were wrong with your own bike for getting to know the area. It might not have hurt as much.

I was through this way 3 days per week,
I got my freedom one of those days to ride out so Polly was kept at home as I was using that bike most days....
plus youngest Mhor wasn't using it....
of course, literally all canal bank into Fountainbridge, today's end of the Union Canal....
a lot of bridges to wend under, nearly all blind exits.. horrible.
Headed out part of the way last Sunday, very dark in places and needs a trim along the barums...
