Yeah, teachers spend seven nights a week marking homework and planning exiting new projects for their beloved children.

Exiting as in leaving, or exciting as in fun to do?

If you'd spent more time listening to your teachers at school, you probably would have a different first name than Ignorant!

On the subject of teacher's pay. One of my old teachers said he didn't think teacher's deserved any more. He thought they got paid quite fairly, which was why he wasn't a union member. He was a good teacher too.

I could murder the ****wit who invented homework.
I usually have at least two hours a night (if not then revision etc)....more often three hours a night. This means from the moment I wake up at 6.30am until around 7.30/8 pm I am thinking/doing/living college. From GCSEs onwards, education just becomes a complete waste of time (ok ok it does have its advantages), being taught to pass exams, which most of the time cannot be applied to real life skills. I am very lucky in that my college has a high quality of teaching and a lode of extra curricular activities, but it is still a shoot lifestyle, effectively working over a 12 hour day.

So teachers...instead of complaining about the amount of marking you need to do, set less homework! (one thing that really gets me is the whole "So I spend all saturday planning lessons for you and marking your class' work and you don't even bother to hand in your work?!".....)

Yes I have 6 essays to do for tuesday and yes I am annoyed ;)
