I actually needed a bit of a rest at that point and think I'd managed my efforts all wrong up to that point including making a slingshot manoeuvre that I probably shouldn't have. I think I re-energized later but far too late and you drafters just constantly pulled away. Your willingness to help out a fellow rider in distress is appreciated though, and I'll make a note to myself for the future that if I'm not feeling quick, you won't mind me sitting behind you for a while and not pulling my weight as much as I should.

If I can make it on Saturday I will be happy to set the pace.
I will need to keep one eye on the average speed as I still have 6.7 seconds to defend if Lars is there too.
Although you are at 8 mins and 34 seconds the majority of that is on this stage so I will have to keep the pace below yesterdays average of make sure I wear you out along the way so you can't get the jump on me.
Guess it all adds to the fun though win or loose.

I feel your pain. Happened lots in the past. Mine keeps giving me Java and mcafee update warnings. I "upgrade" but doesn't stop the messages popping up and stopping BSIM.

Learnt that along time ago, don't update anything, especially Java when you are already on the go.
I used to turn my PC on as soon as I got in so all of the update requests would pop up before I started BSim.

Yep, learnt that. It was the BSIM update that triggered the Java update! Then Mcafee!

With birthday coming up the wife has asked what I want, and figured a heart monitor might be useful. Which one would you recommend that connects up to BKool, and how exactly does it work? Cheers. Whorty

For a moment there I thought you meant one of those screens that goes next to your bed and connects with loads of wires and sets off an alarm when the line goes flat!

Any band that is ANT+ should work, I have Garmin one that cost £15.
There are two electrodes on the band that sit either side of your chest which detects your hear beat and simply sends a signal to the chosen monitor.

Update message for those that missed it on Thursday:
News:
- We've added helpful tips to provide more information about the options and settings of the simulator.
That come up every time you type 'H' whether you want it to or not!!!
- The Velodrome can now be enjoyed with video view. More realistic feeling!
Including virtual splinters (not sprinters) if you fall off of your bike in the garage!!
- Improved experience for the users of the Keiser stationary bike: new section with routes to train with these fitness bikes.
Improvements:
We will remove these features as soon as the King buys a BKool Pro.
- Correction of errors, improving the experience of tablet users and the management of connection errors with the server.
Honest!!
- Other bugs have been fixed
And others have been added to ensure you are looking forward to the next update.
We have left in the annoying features to see off those who buy really expensive trainers (that we do not supply).

I highly recommend Wahoo tikr. Has Bluetooth too. For me much more reliable than the Garmin I had. And more comfortable. I notice my various bib straps more than the tikr strap.

Any ANT+ strap garmin, wahoo, scosche etc. Not suunto as that is currently only ANT afaict.

Go for a soft strap version.

My preference is the Scosche rhythm+, ANT+ and BLE , that goes on my forearm, but not cheap £65 or so, also optical so can be problematic due to skin tone. Rechargeable battery

Wahoo tickr and tickrX are dual ANT+ and BLE, so will work with bkool, cycle computers and iphones. These are electrical pickup and need a damp skin for conduction. About £35

Garmin Ant+ works with bkool and cycle computers, as well as some android phones with ant+ receivers, electrcal pickup same as the Wahoos. About £30 for a soft strap version.

I own one of each of the above.

Electrical is supposedly better for accuracy. But I have found little to no difference when running 2 or 3 straps for comparison (DCR wanna be ).

Ya pays ya money and all that.

I only have one heart so because the first one I bought worked with BSim I stopped there.
I do have a watch collection but none of those have HRM
