Paul, Bob & Lars, any thoughts on our ride tactics. I think we can be quite open about it as there'll be nothing team pink can do to stop it working. They have their little PM conference going but I think we should just strike fear into them by discussing it here.

Go like the proverbial clappers?? Is there any other way?
You and Lars on good form at mo so one or both as leadout, driving on, setting a relentless pace, taking it in turns so as to conserve energy, me and Bridgy doing our stints too and getting a feel for which of us will be stronger in the last third. If we all last as a group we should cross the line 4 abreast^_^

First off, I guess we need to all try and start at near as possible to 11.00 on the countdown. So if we all press "No" at exactly 11.00 we will hopefully all hit the track at the same time. We need to bunch together quickly so if we all head off quick but slow a bit to let anyone catch up. Nice smooth transition hopefully :okay:.
Do we need a sacrificial 4th place man? I don't think we need one but if it suits some one at the time then no problem.
Do we need to know who the third place finisher will be? I don't think we do as long as the front three at least are close together then it doesn't matter. It could be any one of us.

4 a breast would be great Bob, but the top 3 finishing within 10 seconds would be pretty good. I'll be trying to pace myself to last the race. I think 3 of us will need to do that.

Bill,all good and sensible.
I don't think we do either and should play be ear.
I think we, Lars excepted perhaps, may struggle to stay with you. You are a good 2 min plus clear of us in the rankings but i suspect our sheer competitive spirit and need to work with and stay with you means faster times for the whole team.

Agree with all that guys. I think we can all draft together and take turns for at least the first half to three quarters of the race to keep the overall pace up as high as possible. Then at some point, as Bob says you and/or Lars will probably have to just ensure you have at least one other rider still with you. I think the only thing is to play it by ear and ultimately just ensure we have at least 3 riders together by the end

Team Not Red, it is obvious we have a spy in our midst. Bill's sneaky tactics of going flat out all the way with everyone trying to stay together, is way too similar to our discussions for it to be accredited quite simply to coincidence. If Team of Ambiguous Colour lose to Team blue I will definitely be calling foul play.

Basically what we did in the chaingang race on Saturday would work well I think - all apart from the bit where you left me for dead with 2 miles to go!

Team Sky just tweeted this picture - I think they're looking to enter as Team Black
