Tonight's Chaingang is Stage 5 in Provincia di Udine (otherwise known as "Satan's Ladder" whilst being whispered in hushed tones in bkool circles)
I will be starting the ride at 7pm with a 10 minute warmup.
So let some air out of your tyre for maximum traction but not too much. Go for steady power and try to avoid "gaming" the blue speed numbers if possible.
See you all at 7pm.
Not sure I'm in tonight. I did abour 100k this morning, and now enjoying a beer outside in what looks like to be the first summerlike day :sun:

I saw your ride on Strava - was the scenery as good as it looks like it would be on a map?!

Blimey that looks very unpleasant, average slope of 12.48% maximum of 21.5%. Hmmm was thinking I was going to struggle to get back for 7 now thinking i may not struggle very hard.

So I took a look at the footage from yesterday's climb -- I think I want to move the cam mount to the middle of the bars, stem or my chest to cut down on movement. The crown of the road and low speed mean there's an almost constant drift & adjustment going on which makes the video difficult to watch without feeling dizzy. Switching to the road rig will help as well.

Weather looks uncooperative for the next week. So I'm on the turbo again, once my legs stop wobbling.

It's a choice between that nasty looking route and a real life mountain bike ride followed by a beer in the sunshine tonight......the mountain biking* is currently favourite . Will have to catch up on the stage later.......enjoy guys

Fun day in the end.

The lovely weather didn't hurt either. Cipollini seems like a good guy, his English isn't the best but he still looks in great shape and the ride was a real buzz. Cipollini was centre stage at the front of course. Directing the group to slow for lights or warn of hazards. Lots of Middle aged men with stupid grins on their faces cycling behind, imagining we're in the pro peloton for just a few minutes... I managed to sit on his wheel briefly which was a great feeling although some of the people around me hustling for position were making me somewhat nervous. On my best bike for the first time this year and remembering how much I love it. Long and low with deep carbon making that lovely whirring noise. The pace cranked up slowly but not above 26 mph and it wasn't a long ride so I felt very comfortable with it, which is a credit to the training we've all been putting in on the turbo leagues. Then back to the cafe in the centre of the park for a bit of a meet and greet. There were quite a few people looking for a photo and mulling around so I thought I'd call it a day. I'm not sure the missus would really appreciate a photo of me and some Italian dude on the wall anyhow.

All that fun and still tonights chaingang ride to 'enjoy'. I'd just like to know which one of you made Rick so angry! ^_^
