So it was you that put down that glue at the bottom of that first steep incline . And no I wasn't trying to tell you to stop, I was trying to get a tow from you.

I meant just as we started b4 the climb cos everyone was stop starting

Ah yes I see what you mean. We did seem to be all stop starting in the confusion. It never really occurred to me that might not be the correct ride. Geoff will soon let us know I'm sure.

Thanks for the push aaac but I hit the 14% and it was as though someone turned my legs off . Up to then I thought I could keep the same cadence .

Still not too bad for me I think. Off to work now as I've just been called out :cursing:.

Bridgy I can see my ride in my history and all those who were there. I haven't looked in league tab yet. You were in “ninja” mode again and i only knew when AAAC said pick up speed to get on your wheel!!

I was holding on having put my biggest effort on the steep section

You beat me by over 3 minutes Bob. I'd keep it just the way it is if I were you. Definitely keep the blue outfit as they're getting quite fashionable these days ^_^

I am tempted to but I don't fancy being called out by someone in the Summer Cup and being labelled a cheat  But I do like being in blue:smile:

The collapse in speed on the downs when I stopped pedalling hard was extraordinary and makes no sense. At one point 65k down to 30k in what seemed like 4-5 seconds. It was hard work keeping the speed up downhill with a compact and I kept spinning out. I will have to try again at my normal weight and see what happens.

Geoff!! what happened there? I couldn't find the ride and when I did it was in the 9 second countdown mode.

So sorry guys, I missed the start, completely forgot about it. I had another medical appointment late afternoon, then rushed out for a (slow) ride and just didn't get back into my routine, so forgot it was Handicap night! Feel awful to have left you all there wondering where the ride was!

I guess someone must have started a session, either deliberately or by accident, as it looks like 10 of you have sessions waiting for acceptance. Unfortunately bkool won't accept me approving them, it just ignores the button click and then says error approving the ride! I'll keep trying, when this has happened in the past they have usually gone through eventually!

I'll set an alarm for next week, I promise!

I was really looking forward to watching that as well, and it seems loads of you turned up, what a wally ....

Geoff

EDIT: If you fancy doing the Handicap again another night, I'll be happy to give it a go and record it. I'll look over the handicaps from tonight and see how appropriate they were.

Looking at the sessions awaiting approval I got the following times...

Sorry, Lars, I guess you didn't finish the session due to the general confusion!

Well done to everyone who took part.
