I was being a drama queen - computer was fine in the end!

Good race but that was HARD!! Amazed I was able to hold that 10 second gap on you for all that time Bill - my heart rate was through the roof :heat:

Good race indeed but I was right on the limit near the end. I kept trying to reel you in but you always responded just enough. I sensed that you didn't have much left either but I couldn't take advantage of that. At one point I was 4 seconds behind but it might as well have been 4 minutes.
All in all, very satisfying though, and felt like I really earned my dinner. :hungry:

If I do the 2 hilly stages again I might be able to make a few min good . But I am going on holiday on Sunday and will not have time to do the other stages .

I have the same problem Ryan. Holidays coming up so might not be able to finish the league. Also need to do some re-runs if they fix the firmware problems.

Good race everyone. Rob you were quite a challenge to catch, only for you to get away. I then thought you were in the red when I eventually got past. Bob, great ride considering you're a bit injured

Ibuprofen Andy:okay: ;)
I think I lasted close to 10 min before the 2 B's pulled away. Then as I recovered I thought if I waited for LB we could drag each other back to the front. I began to struggle though and once LB pulled away I though best just to pedal to the finish. Then you began to edge closer so I pressed on a bit just to play safe. Hard ride wasn't it?
I did get a slingshot and a sudden deceleration during the ride, first in a while, as well as speed collapsing on downhills into blue numbers. All a little frustrating but things we all have to deal with.

No, having got all cocky with improving times in Zwift I decided i would try and push for a pb on one route and that's when i came a cropper. It was quite funny though;). I have decided not to take the bike to Spain just to give my ageing body a chance to recover from the stresses and strains you bloody lot make me put it through^_^ I will be in Asturias and so not to far from places where the Vuelta will pass :okay:

All that power just wrenched the bike out of the turbo.

By the way @BILL S , I thought I'd missed a stage last Thursday, but can't see one in the league - just a sprint stage?
Yes it is 3 long alternating with 3 sprint stages to allow people to also do the Summer Cup league without too much fatigue. It seems to be working for me

Just looked at tonight's results.
This is the same course as in the Summer Cup and I pushed myself to a time of just below 37 minutes and was really chuffed (an puffed).
You can understand, having all done it, how surprised I was to be bested by over 6 minutes.
At 80kg I averaged 389 watts @ 48.1 kph and was beaten by 62kg at 398 watts at 57.6 kph, so basically 9 watts more.
It's by no means a flat course but I wouldn't expect weight to make that much difference i.e 17% of my time for 2.3% of my power.
Knowing that power is proportional to 1/2 Velocity squared I would have though it would have taken a lot more power to make another 20% of my speed.

Does that make sense.

PS: That was another OMIL winge.
