Question is should I try and do 3 chain gang sessions tomorrow seeing I get an extra hour (if they are still live that is).

That's what Pep Tache would do and smash every ones times!

I think I might give it a miss and have a lay in instead and a bit of wine tonight to celebrate my Mt Ventalin success.
By the way the only way I got to launch the live ride was to challenge Bridgy to put it in the first 8 else wise it would not come up in my filtered search.

Thanks Bob ... stubbornness mostly - I will not be beaten by a hill, real or virtual :gun: Legs tired towards the end tonight, but worst part is the soreness of the undercarriage

Couldn't stand up and pedal tonight either - had dripped so much sweat onto the pedals that my shoes were just slipping right off. May have to ask HID for new pedals and cleat shoes for Christmas (I still use an old pair of trainers - LOL). Quite fancy a HRM too .... hope she's been saving up :giggle:
If you want a HRM the most user friendly is the Scosche Rythm+. Optical, ant+ and ble, and goes on the arm. Can be got for about £55. It's what I use.

Dcrainmaker has a discount code for the site.

Shoes and pedals can be got for about £75 combined. Road or off road type can be used.

I too was worried that he may have finished so I just kept digging.
Today my legs were my limiting factor and I was able to manage my HR easily. My heart only really kicked as I dug in for the line.

That's good to hear. My HR rarely went above 160 suggesting much the same. It bodes well. I need to work out though why for the second ride in a row my left leg is cramping. Perhaps I am worrying too much about the right knee/leg and stretching that more than the left.

Just buy a magnet from ebay like this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/5-10-25-5...hash=item19fd9e143f:m:mFG0qK29VowtGel5IQJZUIw
Get one just smaller than the diameter of the pedal spindle where it screws into the crank and just stick the magnet on the end. No glue or anything required.
If you get one with a countersunk hole and stick it on countersink against the spindle you can pry it of easily with a small screwdriver.
Mine had been stuck to my pedal spindle for 4 years and has never fallen of.

Thanks AAAC I'll try that.

Worty definately get some proper shoes / cleats. They make a massive difference mate. Just don't wear them on a wooden floor and deck it over a baby gate like I did... :B). The missus thought it was hilarious obviously.

If you can edit a scheduled ride, set it to the current date. I have found that sends it to the front of the queue. Even when others have the same date. If that makes sense

300km a week through London on a road bike.
Just been looking at your Ventoux times and how well you've all done. I hate hills, let alone mountains but I'm going to have to man up an have a go at some point. Well done lads, excellent efforts from you all!

My legs would not allow me to get my hr above 130 most of the way. It was only at the end that it really went over that for an extended period. The heart was willing but the legs weren't.

Cheers Bob, but as a short-arse i'm only a size 42. Never used clip pedals and have avoided them until now as really nervous about using them and falling off the bike (not on the turbo but on the road). Which variety is best for a complete novice?

If your 42 your want 43 or 43.5 in Shimano but 45 will be too big.

I use some Mavic sport/touring shoes that clip to the mountian bike cleats. Not quite as good power transfer as road shoes and they are heavier but I can walk around my gaff with gay abandon with no fear of tripping or slipping.
Looks like they don't make mine no more but they are a bit like this but older:

And I use pedals like this

Excellent contact area for comfort and power transfer.

Just catching up - well done AAAC and Bobinski - great rides

I was kind of expecting that because I knew I didn't do a strong ride yesterday, having buried myself the day before! I would probably have benefited from an extra day's rest but my Bkool cave has been transformed back into a comfortable conservatory for our visitors today!

I clearly wouldn't make a good grand tour rider!

@bobinski you would surely come second in the league if you'd done stage 1 up Col de la Bonette?

I asked Bkool if it's possible now to connect the Bkool pro trainer via bluetooth smart (BLE) with a Ipad 4.
They said that it is possible now (see below).
Does anyone did this allready? Because I couldn't make it until now.

"Hi Bkool,
I have a Bkool pro trainer, bought in september 2015.
On the webside I read it has bluetooth smart.
Is it possible now to connect the Bkool pro trainer via bluetooth smart (BLE) with a Ipad 4? And how can I do this?

Hi Beachrider,
Thanks for your message. Bkool Pro and Go trainers can be paired via Bluetooth to any compatible computer or tablet, and be controlled by our simulator, without using the ANT+ USB dongle.

Besides, Bkool Indoor simulator can detect other Bluetooth Smart (4.0) trainers and also any power, speed, cadence or HR compatible sensors via Bluetooth Smart (4.0). However, it won't be able to control other brand trainer's resistance, just the Bkool Pro and Go models.
See you at Bkool,
Bkool Team"

If you are worried take a look at these.

flat one side spd the other. There is a second type of spd cleat that allows multi direction unclipping.
