Well done everyone, that really is a great session to watch! I think we had as many spectators as riders... :hyper:

Finish on the Road (but a few late starters)

1st Tommy
2nd Perky
3rd Bridgy
4th Berty
5th Stuart
6th Jlaw
7th Bill

Very strong ride again Tommy! :bravo:

Bit odd that I beat Bridgy's time on my tod.
Look at my Watts/kg vs Bridgy', I am almost a watt/kg down on him and 55 watts plus.
Bridgy is 78kg and I am 80kg so I had no big descending advantage.
I can only say it was all about the secondary climb as that was the only bit I real beasted because I had just done a Goats so I only had short bursts left in the
legs.
I am sure my realisation that if you hit transitions with less watts on you may actually benefit as opposed too hitting them hard.

That was a great session - I have never pushed so hard to try and keep @bridgy at bay.

I watched the start and then started a stop watch, joined at 5.30mins and realised after about 10 seconds I was the only one on the road.
I came out, noticed the elapsed time was correct as it was now near 7mins and started again.

Before the ride I pumped tyre up to 120psi and noticed at start of cool down my tyre was flat! Not sure when it went, it's leaking from the valve. I have headphones on during the session so wouldn't hear any difference

As I am still a relatively newbie, have people had this issue before of tyres being too high and then gradually lose air, I would have thought it would have gone bang instead of gentle leak

During the session I did think my wattage was high for relative low gradients, not sure if that was due to tyre

@Perky77 check the presta valve is screwed in tight. There are two flat sides where you can put small pliers to check. Sometimes when taking the valve cap off it can slightly unfree the valve unless it's tight. Else you have a slow puncture

Didn't join in tonight, still scared of whatever was making aggressive gnawing noises in the garage last night. Has probably eaten my bike now anyway.

Mrs SV8 suggested I take Bobinski out there to attack whatever it is. I pointed out he is a gun dog, all the dimwit will do is fetch the thing I am scared of and bring it to me whilst I try to run away from him shrieking.

I will be heading out there with a big stick on Saturday in the daylight to rectify the problem. Normal cycling service should resume then.

As Geoff says, I stopped and waited for Bill, hoping we could do some drafting together - and feeling bad as we were meant to start at the same time! I don't think Bill was on top form tonight though - sorry I didn't stay with you too long Bill, I sensed you weren't too full of energy - maybe because you had a bit of a rush to join the ride?

Yeah, well done at the end there - I was giving it all I had left but couldn't quite reel in those last few seconds

There's a lot of downhill on that course and watts can be misleading because of it. It only takes me to be pedalling slightly faster on the downhills, even though I'm actually using the blue virtual speed - so not actually affecting my speed at all - for my average watts to be artificially inflated quite a lot.

Good point.
I was just so surprised as I didn't exactly go hell for leather.

Geoff don't seem to see my result in the table, bkool had a problem with the upload have logged on and it is definitely there would it be possible for you to work your magic and find my time thanks
Stuart
Ps seem to be pressing more buttons than turning wheels with this new update looks like others are having similar problems, will be sticking with it too much fun when it does work I'm sure bkool will iron out the gremlins eventually!

They are concentrating on ironing in creases at the moment.
Once they have worked out how to iron they may get to it!

I'm trying to work out what has improved and finding it very difficult to come up with much because it is all overshadowed by the bad bits.
