Enjoyed that a bit more. @Goldwolfie all I could hope was that I was far enough ahead before it went downhill but nope. Then @Breedon I nearly made my lungs external rather than internal organs trying to catch you, just couldn't do that last 5 seconds. 3 miles out my phone rang and I thought it was important. Wasn't but by the time I got rid of them all was lost. Felt a bit more part of things tonight though.

Daddy Pig I saw where the road climbed I came back at you a little, but not much. I always get that with virtually all the other guys, I get beat up on long climbs

Really pushed the revs up on the hills. Not sure what my average cadence was like but must have been quite high. I'm knackered!

Thanks AAAC that was a fantastic tow, and I know you waited for me a few times. Sorry I couldn't contribute but it was all I could do to stay with you. Sorry also from me Tommy, I should have slowed to pick you up too but was too concerned with staying with AAAC.

LIVING THE DREAM
The problem is that 20 years ago I was a lot more powerful and a lot lighter! Losing weight is a slow process so whilst losing weight I want to keep training the weakest link(s). Being 40 years young the best years are theoretically behind me!

If I can get to 80kg and pump out 480 watts average on a bkool tt I'll be happy, with the plan to ride an outdoor tt this summer.

i blimming wont be, young blimming upstarts no respect

No worries mate

I was averaging 380 and still couldn't stay with you and Bill so it was better I dropped off the back. I was kind of hanging on around 20/20 secs behind for a while but then I ran out of steam... back to the drawing board I think...

Just saw your post Bill. I'm glad you didn't wait for me bud, you were flying!

Perversely I seem to find the uphill or undulating courses a lot easier to judge than the downhill or flat.
