Well done to you too Bob. It helped me a lot having a Daddy Pig riding in front of me most of the time. Just like in Thursdays Chaingang .

I hope all you cyclechatters are going to get your names changed to include (Team Cyclechat) so we can fill as much of the result places as possible with our team name. :bravo:

Good idea. How do I do that Bill? Had a try through profile and bkool won't let me.

Just did mine you should have a pencil icon next to your nickmane click on that and you can change it.

Yep, wouldn't let me do it on the iPad but fine on the laptop.

Brendon, I did hang back, partly to recover but also to see if you wanted to draft. Sorry I pushed on-I just wanted to get it over and done with.

Tommy, i know how that feels, take it easy, at most do very gentle rides so as not to push infection deeper into lungs. It will pass

Sorry to hear that TT.
Be careful, i am the only one in my group at work who has not gone down with a chest infection recently . One ignored doctors advice and now has bronchitis. think of it as rest for your legs, lungs and heart-you will be back soon enough:okay:

Cheers guys, I'm still commuting by bike but that's just cruising and it's got to be better than the London Underground! :heat:.
I finish work on Wednesday and I'm really hoping my patience and self control will be rewarded with a clean bill of health so I can put in lots of rides over Christmas.

Bob you can change your name under your profile settings.

Yeah, great time :notworthy:. I'll be satisfied to get into top 10 but it looks like it's getting harder and harder as new attempts continues to tick in.
Thanks LB. I'm sure you'll put in a good time when you've had a rest. When I looked in on your ride today you were in the lead of all the quick ghosts so I think you must have overcooked it at the start. If you challenge me you'll get a good mix of ghosts including the two Daddy Pig ghosts that I was able to use to my advantage.

I did think that but i couldn't keep the pace up had a stitch a quarter of the way in after my blistering start and took ages to get rid of it, but knocked off 1m 34s was aiming for 2 minutes.

Also a bit off topic but I've not taken to the continental ultra sport tyres. I don't know if it's just in my head but they're not for me so if anyone would like them I have 2. One I've used for approx 30 miles on the turbo, the others unused. £10 posted for the pair!

I also have a set of 50mm carbon tubular wheels I think I'm going to sell. They're 'Planet X' which seem to divide opinion but I really like them. It's just I have another very similar set so they don't get used. If anyone's interested pm me and we can work out a price, cyclechat mates rates .

I've had both good and bad experiences with the ultra sports. The first two I used seemed to be really good but the two afterwards seemed to be high friction. Now on the Continental GP4000 and it seems really good.

Great times guys. It's really cool seeing lots of you so high up on the leader board.

On the other hand it's quite a frustrating time for me at the moment...

I feel like the universe is conspiring to stop me riding! Ok that's probably slightly on the dramatic side but it just feels like one thing after another:headshake:. The latest being a chest infection which is hanging on for dear life. All I want to do is stick a time up on the first stage but I'm out of breath going up the bloody stairs!
I've had something sitting on my chest for about 3 or 4 weeks, hence no sessions done. Not bad enough to take time off of work, but bad enough to raise the heart rate way above what it should be for a short walk. Every time I think about doing a session I end up with coughing fits. Doc can't find anything wrong, no raised temp or rattling on the chest/lungs, bp is good, for me. If it's still not clear by the new year I'm getting referred.

Have you got much time off over Christmas TB? Fingers crossed some rest, if you can get some will help.

I woke up with a heavy chest the other day.
HID had decided to use me as a body pillow, did nothing for the heart rate, if you know what I mean, but it did make it damn difficult to breath.
