Fun as always! Well done Baldy.

I was trying to draft people as they went past but it seems my turbo is magnetically opposed to the BKOOL pro. Other than that I was trying my hardest to be restrained. It felt virtually impossible to latch on at a similar pace to baldy or Steve. With Lars it was a little better. Were you using a powermeter Lars?
thanks for trying Tommy, i wasn't able to hitch a ride, much as i would have love to have done

me too
i guess the guys who joined after 00.00 hour didnt get the elapsed time that we did so a few started early
lbhfi came from behind and got first place on the finishing board

At the risk of sounding a bit dumb...for these handicaps are we menat to use the elapsed time shown on the bsim as our start time? I used the actual clock time (which may explain why I started before the likes of Keith who was meant to start before me).

It was a bit of a lonely furrow for me too until the last couple of kms when I had Bill and Bridgy for company, but I didn't have enough left in the tank for the sprint finish! ^_^

Was a great race though. I love these handicap races! Well done to all

Off to collapse now.

Well I thought that way of starting worked really well
I agree it was much better. the only question is do we use real time or bkool time. I used bkool time only to find I think @peterob 30 seconds ahead of me rather than 5 behind me. This wouldn't have helped when I had a glitch that ruined tonight for me, but we should decide on which time to use.

another long, straight furrow ploughed. Ill have the whole field done, and the corn in before the NC starts! I thought this was handicap racing, not TT training! the cat is already hiding, he's not stupid have been a great sprint, kudos @BILL S sorry i couldn't be with you. My train hit a buffer and i managed to catch up with the express that had come through and passed me but the effort was too much and i had to get off as it was going too fast for me!

We'll get this right one of these days Keith. Not sure what happed but you obviously slowed to let me catch up but then once caught up I couldn't stay with you as you were too fast and you ended up a few seconds ahead again, then I think you waited again and I caught up but then you seemed to disappear and were showing as 2 minutes behind so I thought you must have stopped. It might have worked better if you set off at the same time as me and we could work together from the start, although not sure if that's allowed in the rules. Fortunately for me I didn't have to wait long for Paul and AAAC to come along and give me a tow that I could only just barely hold onto. Towards the end I couldn't even get enough air into my lungs whereas normally its my legs that give in.

Yes, a bit odd. The Pro I used is consistantly 10 watts under in the velodrome, but in this session it was 20 watts over, pretty much like my old Pro.

Very good handicap today Geoff:okay:. AAAC magnanimous as ever, very close finish for most. Carl bravely fought hard to hold a Bkool wheel:okay:.as did Tommy and Bob. Interesting numbers

A bit soul destroying to see people shoot past at lightening speeds. I had forgotten about that
I waited for and tried to hold Lars wheel but any easing and he shot past and so needed 300w plus to stay with him and then I would overshoot and then he just shot past! Interesting to know what watts he put down then. I was never the best bkool drafter and perhaps I just didn’t recognise it but it didn’t seem to. Power needs on gradient changes are so different to Zwift and will take some getting used to again.
So, 3 more goes for me over next 4 weeks and hopefully I will finish a handicap race^_^
Well done all!
