Much as I tried @Brusgaard I just couldn't catch you. And this time the hills didn't seem to help me. Don't tell me you started taking a days rest before chaingang races

I put more effort in tonight but was almost 1min down
Yes I was almost sure you were going to get him on the penultimate hill but then he pulled away again. I wish I could have watched it, we'll have to wait for the @Brusgaard video!Much as I tried @Brusgaard I just couldn't catch you. And this time the hills didn't seem to help me. Bask in the annoyance your EOS a couple days ago elicited! Grrrrr.Nah, I used to have Fridays off, but took at little spin outside yesterday instead, as I’m not due back at work before Monday after more than 2 weeks off. 🙂 But I didn’t do my usual Saturday morning Zwift ride/race, if that‘s any consolation? 🙂
Improved my time by about 4 seconds at about 2.5 watts more on avg. Took it a bit easier than usual at the start, waiting for your Pros speed/watts to kick in and get you 2 to the front for a bit. The rest of the ride I just made sure to keep you at a somewhat safe distance before hitting the steeper parts, which thankfully were less than 8% at all times(?).
No point in trying to keep up with @keithaitch as I’ll loose 10+ minutes when we hit Col d’Aspin later this month. 🙂
Thanks for that Keith. I wonder if we could spam official Bkool Facebook and twitter messages with our details to get more on board?Well in all the excitement of Christmas and my attempt, successful to ride literally half way round the world in one year I forgot to ride a Chaingang monthly news letter. Better late than never, as my training partner never says, here it is

This is great .on unrealistic rides a few years back I was in the top 10 in a winter cup stage. I emailed but at that time they must not have a way to delete it without causing problems with everything down the table. Everyone knew it wasn't deserved so it was like wearing a bad toupee. Hmmm maybe that's not a bad idea.Well in all the excitement of Christmas and my attempt, successful to ride literally half way round the world in one year I forgot to ride a Chaingang monthly news letter. @Bored Man - Or it could be the leccy bike Santa brought me - I wish.Bit more consistent than mine @Brusgaard ... my trainer is all over the place since the last update, ( I may have mentioned it before?). I can crest a climb, the watts drop, the speed increases however, I’m still grinding up hill for anything up to 5 seconds.. couldn’t achieve 200 watts today, well barely...
Me n @Goldwolfie are there or thereabouts and he walloped me by 4 minutes over 10 miles.. mind you, he is keeping quiet. He may have been training hard or borrowed @Whorty’s inhaler?

I don't think I've ever managed to ride away from anyone on a hill, so I'd ignore your first attempt at stage 1.
Randy, yourself and myself are roughly about the same level, so it will be good to renew our previous battles, once Randy returns to fitness - it can get pretty lonely out there at the moment.
As for stage 2 - I think I'll set off about lunchtime on Thursday as I need to get finished to get my beauty sleep in.
I'll probably be looking at the group ride at 6pm on Thursday - hopefully you can make it. We need to set the pace for the rest of the 'troops' 😉GW. Let me know when you’re going to ride stage 2. I’ll happily attempt to spin with you.
Jim
We´ll all fall in, in a paceline behind you.I'll probably be looking at the group ride at 6pm on Thursday - hopefully you can make it. We need to set the pace for the rest of the 'troops' 😉

@keithaitch - Tis my opinion that you’re trying to deliver a competitive (fun) league which you manage via spreadsheet. Regardless of the inconsistencies with finishers etc, it is working and the guys who participate enjoy it. Even I visit even though I’m a little inconsistent. The people who have questionable power outputs are irrelevant to what you’re attempting to achieve - unless you only rely on Bkool league results ( Rather than your sheet).
I think you should continue to weed these folk out and I believe the best way to control this is by agreeing a handicap committee (3 people of similar ability who are best qualified to assess any individuals performance) eg. You, @BILL S @Brusgaard - if you all agree the performances are suspect - bin them. This will ensure fairness and preserve the integrity of the Bkool Chaingang (and your) League. They won’t complain as it is probably meaningless to them. If they do, it will promote open conversation.
Start by creating a simple Chaingang group guideline post, explaining how it works, who can participate and how they qualify - additionally, why any individual could be removed (questionable performance).
Hope that helps?
Jim
