I took it far too easy but on the last hill bill kindly waited so I ended up pushing to catch and managed to have a little sprint finish. Should have stayed to original plan because the last 6km has took it out of me.

I was worried in case you overcooked yourself to catch me. Well done though you did it, and I was sure you wouldn't be able to.

Yep 26.5deg but only 34% humidity - had the garage door open for a little fresh air.

Iain was killing me up that hill kept hoping he'd give up but he kept coming back right till the top. Well past 170BPM for a long stint.
Yes well done, that lead you got before the climb did for me. We were probably quite close going up and down the hill.

Thanks @BKIain, I knew I'd be weak on the incline so tried to make hay in the relatively flat run up to it. You maxxed me out on that climb, I thought you had me several times. Sure you'll get me on the Saturday re-run.
Hayfever drugs kicked in, just need a good bout of asthma to challenge the top dogs.
Think I'm ok because my wife prescribed

I'm ok because my wife has given me Therapeutic Use Exemption TUE certificate

What do we think to the challenge of the stars this weekend? Sprinters tomorrow, head to head knock out over 1.2km
Then climbers Sunday I think is a 3 or 4 km uphill knock out. Could be good to watch
