.Ok for anyone who fancies a chain gang style group ride/race tonight at 7pm I've set one up so that should appear in the Live tab at 7pm with a 10 minute warmup (actual race starting at 7.10pm)
This is what everyone seemed to enjoy the most last bkool season so we'll try to have a regular Thursday nighter throughout the winter.
Tonights ride is "Las Navas del Marques - Robledondo" and is 11.8 miles long with a mixture of up and down hill.
The password to join is "chain" (without the " ") to hopefully prevent random people joining. It's set as a group ride and the group is Chain Gang. It is possible/probable that you will need to be a member of Cycle Chat Chain Gang to join the race so if you're not already a member please request to join from the bkool site and give Admin a prod by posting a quick prompt here too, saying what your bkool name is. There's quite a few new members requested on here lately so if you haven't been made a member of the group yet, please remind us so you're not locked out of the race tonight if you want to join in.
The best way to find the ride will be as follows:
Make sure you have selected the Live tab in bsim.
At 7pm the ride should appear. If you see it then you can enter the password "chain" and join the warmup. You will see me already in the session. If you don't see me there then its the wrong session.
If you cannot see the session then you need to use the filters within the Live tab. Under filters, type in any part of the title of the ride for example "navas" or my name "bill". This should find you the session so you can enter it.
Sorry to the new guys if this sound complicated, but once you get the hang of it, it's very easy.

Sadly thursday is still real world cycling for me but great to get this all going again

Nothing like easing the new guys in gently!
Think this will be a struggle but looking forward to it. Fan bought today and bkool should be waiting for me when i get home so looking forward to my first ride!

You'll be fine, just pace yourself up, if you've never used power before find a figure on the screen that you feel you are able to sustain after the first mile and then use that, use the gears to keep in that spot.
What cassette you running?
