Can't believe bkool is gone! Seems like a lot of you are on rouvy though which is great, how are you finding it?

For racing I have always used the 3D in BKOOL, as you can see everyone. But if dropped, I would sometimes switch to video.
Like Randy say great variety of routes on BKOOL was amazing, but also its Achilles’s Heel. Also the ability to upload your own routes AND video on BKOOL for everyone to use was unique at the time, and I actually don’t think any other platforms have offered that since?

In Rouvy riders appear/disappear randomly, so you have to keep an eye on ranking on the left too. Works OK in a small group, but I can imagine the chaos if 25+ riders in a bigger group.

Hopefully that improves in time. I’ve found downloading the course in advance helps too but normally I don’t bother.

Bkool was quirky in so many ways. But I still look on that period when I got the Bkool trainer as the best racing fun I had. The handicap races Geoff devised were particularly fun. The banter after the ride was as often as good as the race itself.

I agree, those handicap races were great - Geoff did a great job with the handicaps, as they led to some tight bunch finishes. Plus it was good for us slower riders to try and hold on as long as possible. I definetly tended to put more effort in with the speedsters chasing me down, than I do when I'm time trialing on my tod.

Ill try to set up a handicap race for the end of December.
I think I can just start at the beginning and have the starting time for everyone else added by their difference.
So for example I start at 6:00 then at 6: 14@Goldwolfie starts then at 7:15 the following day @Rodmcg starts

Thanks for organising the results, Randy, and the handicap times. I have the annual dinner party for my group of friends on 11/12 so can't participate, this time. I will though look forward to seeing the results. Maybe I should use my allocated time for the re-run!!

We can change the date to whatever works. Just not the 25th.
I have it set for the 26th but that may not work because Google says its boxing day. I'm not really sure what that entails. Would it interfere with a race?

Edit: Or just a Saturday race on the 27th? From what Google says, you give a Christmas box to your grocery store check out people on boxing day.
