Decided a bkool is the trainer for me.

Recommendations on where to buy?.

Is there a difference between the 2015 and 2016 version?

What else do I need?

Bkool.com had an offer recently on their website if you had a coupon code but not sure if it's still on. The Bkool 1is £165 on therebut youll needsome accessories like power unit and Ant+ USB dongle if youre using a laptop. As well as the turbo package you'll need an Ant+ heart rate monitor.

The Bkool Pro is the only variable resistance trainer left in their lineup so for the full experience it's the one to go to. As for where to buy, there's been a lot of unit coming from UK shops which have been on old firmware which can't update. No real biggie but may be an issue in the future. Probably best to buy direct from Bkool.

Also get a USB extension cable so that you can put the Ant+ dongle beside the Bkool unit and get a large fan! A camping mat under the bike and trainer catches the sweat and tyre dust.

Tried Col du Glandon today but bailed after 40 mins. Have had a rotten cold all week and I just felt pretty rubbish. What stopped me though was the pain in the chest - not usually a good sign LOL Will have to try again next week.

Anyone else having issues importing a GPX file into Bkool?
Tried it from Endomondo & MapMyRide, used to work ok but fails every time now

It shows the route in Bkool perfectly but then reports Its not possible to create a route from this file'

Any reason why I should buy from the offical site and pay £70 more?

Cheers

Worth a go but just make sure you can return it if its the type that won't update. I returned two to wiggle and ended up paying full price for one from bkool to get a fully functioning one. Wiggle didn't know enough about them to check out their functionality before sending. Not that that's their job anyway.
