Hi guys
Got the Bkool Classic in the summer and have now started to look at it more seriously since it's dark at 5 and I went up Alp D'Huez today. Wow that was tough!

So... I need a little help.
Can someone explain how to get an invite to the Mountain Goat League and what is exactly involved if I sign up!!
Thanks

Hi Milo. Just request to join the group in the bkool website and because you have posted here you will be accepted.

If you do sign up it will involve one climb per week if you choose to complete future leagues. If you decide to complete the present league you have your work cut out for you as it finishes on the 31st.

And don't forget to ride league rides from the Leagues Tab if you want them to appear in the results.

It varies how quickly they appear. It can be up to a day sometimes.

Edit: just checked there. It's up now! Well done!
Thanks, Just saw it myself. Hopefully in a few weeks will be sub 1 hour, depends if I can stop eating rubbish though!
Might try Mont Ventoux tomorrow. Will see how tired I am after work!
I have a couple of hill climb GPX files from Spain earlier this year that are on Bkool, how do I go about getting them into the mountain goat league?

If they're converted to 3D I'm sure we could fit them into the next Mountain Goat league. Assuming they're almost all uphill and last between half an hour to an hour and a half. If so just let me know the ride names.

Bill, here's some suggestions from my favorites. They're 3D until I get a gopro and climb them again next summer (too damn cold now).

Big Cottonwood Canyon
City Creek Canyon
Emigration Canyon
Little Cottonwood Canyon
Millcreek Canyon

Bkool is behind again on creating the 3D rides, but if they catch up, I've got plenty more local (for me ) climbs I can add

Bill, They are;

Santurde de Rioja to Valdezezcaray return - 50.2 Km
Santurde De Rioja - 73Km

They might be a bit long for the league but see what you think. Plenty of climbing ;)

Hi, did a ride last night and just wanted to ask aboout something.

I set a power target and then a few minutes into the ride a little guy on a bike rode up beside me saying "good job", "underperforming" "overperforming" i'm guessing he was my 'domestique' for the ride and pacing me to keep in the correct zone?

Anyway beside my power readout and the usual coloured bar, there was a narrow white bar that slowly filled up with green. Is this how much of the ride i was in the my target power zone for?

Lots of neat little features in the simulator, pity they arent explained that well in the online manual!

The rising green bar is the "in target zone" indicator. The speed at which it rises depends on the length of your target and the total length of the session. A 1km target zone in a 10km session will rise quicker than a 9km target zone in a 10km session would. The little triangle on the rising bar is the travelled distance on the target zone remaining. The difference between the triangle and the green rising bar indicates how much you have been outside your target.

Maybe stupid question, but how is the overall individual classification in a league calculated? Not everybody has ridden all stages.

Folks,

Trying to find an answer. I have added Mont Ventoux as one of my favorites however when I log in to the trainer I don't find it under my favs to ride. Other rides are there from other leagues but none are mountain goat league.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you skip a stage, you get the time of the slowest person plus 10% (or some added on percentage), so I wont be riding ventoux so will probably end up with about 2 hours and 40 minutes being added to my overall time. There is also a chance I wont get Glandon done, so will get another chunk of time added. It's punishment for not punishing myself up those climbs! Where others have done fewer rides but are above me, that is probably downto them doing the longer rides, therefore the added on time isn't quite as much for the shorter stages they haven't done, either that or they are just faster and fitter than me :-)
