120 metres? .... doesn't sound too far :becool: even us Mooses can manage that a couple of times a week :heat:
On annual leave this week so I may even get another 100 metres in Friday if Im lucky ;)

Obviously minimum elevation - pretty flat here

I find the complaints about who has what settings, which trainer is best/easiest/whatever a bit strange. If you want 'real life' simulation, then cycle in the real world. If you want a virtual ride, that helps you get fit, keeps you interested, lets you join in with a good community then do BKool.

I have no concern whether someone gets 10% advantage over me on a ride .. for me each ride is about MY relative improvement compared to MY other rides. Am I getting better? Very strange in the virtual world to be concerned by other people's setup. But maybe that's just me  I have an idea on BKool which riders ride the same kinds of times as me - but, in the real world they might blow me away, or I might blow them away, or we might still be similar in times ... but is any f this really
important?

Sounds like Zwift hasn't got the great community that you guys have created here and that makes the pain of the cycle worth it :laugh::highfive:
Well put Whorty just how I think, this is really about me competing with myself to get fitter / better and now I have found people of similar abilities about competing with Whorty :cycle:

Looks like a 2 hours plus for a Moose like me .... maybe 2.5 hours? That is going to be a sore old ride  Better find the vaseline  but, on the plus side, for those riders that don't do it, they get my time plus an extra 5%:rofl::rofl:
Yep think I'll settle for that.

Interesting happening today (well I thought it was, when I explained to my wife she sort of glazed over so I am now sharing it with like-minded wierdos) redid stage one of the chaingang this morning (obviously in an attempt to beat Whorty).

Only thing I changed was spinning a bit faster rather than pushing a bit harder on the hilly bits and then coming over the top pedalling like the clappers for the first 10 seconds or so before backing off.

Doing that took a minute and a bit out of my time (i definitely haven't got fitter since Thursday). I guess this is probably the bit other than just getting fitter where a smart turbo is really useful to allow you to try different things to see what works.

edit: Looks like I can't challenge you as you didn't complete the ride but I'll do it tomorrow anyway and see what happens when I hit the steep bits slow. My guess is that it'll act like its 10% and let me ride at 6 or 7 mph.

Done this before in 45 mins but no 4kph bits, perhaps it was the same but different session.
160 ish bpm a lot of the way so it was no easy ride.

If you crest a climb and keep the power on it does help your initial descent speed.
Have a real close look at your descending speeds in the stats graph and see how they have changed.
If you put in an extra 10kph for even a short time it means you have covered a lot more ground for a given time.
If a car passes you on the motorway doing 10mph more its no long before it is out of sight.
Also have a look at your comparative climbing speed and power, you may find a high candence suites you and hence you actualy climb quicker.

I'm riding in the real world this week and the Bkool.has been a two edged sword.I sure have way more climbing ability and am in better shape but twice now I've ridden to point of the Geoff dilemma. That's where on a steep climb you have slowed down to the point of falling over but can't get enough momentum to get unclipped. It is never a problem in the Bkool world.

Interesting ... I was 7 mins behind you on Goat 1 (you did 42 mins, and I was 49 mins). Extrapolating that out to Goat 2 with your time of 1hr 46 mins my target Goat 2 should be about 2hrs 5 mins ish  hmm wonder if my butt fancies that long in the saddle?:surrender:

Jus to be fair, my time has been almost 1:34 so you can be well below 2h. Certainly too much for the butt, and the stage is just merciless and restless climbing.... but glory does not come easy these days. I don't know about the previous stage as a valid reference though: it was my first goats stage and I did it right after the chaingang so I was pretty spent and couldn't push more. So...give it a try, absolutely!.

Yes, looks like you were much fresher at the start of this one. You've gone from being a good way behind me to being a good way in front. I may give it another go if I'm feeling fitter later in the week.

Hmmm may not happen this month I knocked out just shy of 120 m today and got a 130 m on Tuesday - legs are knackered!! How often do you run these leagues? I'll plan some time in for them
There'll be a new one every month Gina. Well only stop them when decent weather and lighter evenings arrive and people go back to real cycling. So 2019 most likely.

More likely my time +5%. Ever since you ditched the "3-speed" I haven't been able to catch you. It doesn't look as bad as ventoux; I suspect you'll be in under 2hrs as long as you don't bonk. I'm just waiting for someone to upload some of the Hawaii volcano climbs, that's when the real pain will start.

I've got one more ride to select & test for the moose, then I'll work my way through the goats league. It's unfortunate that when you upload a ride that bkool doesn't like, it doesn't tell you anything. It just goes into /dev/null. I must have uploaded a dozen interesting climbs from around here in the last week. So far just 2 were turned into 3d rides.

I also laid down a blistering pace for Millcreek. My kickr wasn't adjusting for grades :-)

Man, just 6 minutes, no doubt due to the vortex superpower. Just the fact that you are considering to re-run it demonstrates that you are stronger. No way I am doing that again.
