Time to go and make sure my tyres are at 160psi.:pump:

I'm sure that psi figure gets higher every time you mention it!

Well done!

Rim brakes on mountain bikes is definitely one of those things I wouldn't want to go back to! Like many developments in mountain biking like full suspension, 29er wheels etc, they help to compensate for my lack of bike handling skills!
They're Magura Hydraulic Rim brakes so as good as rim brakes can be. Not as good as discs but not bad either. 26" wheels didnt help either today by the sounds of it. Still, the old bike did me proud!

Unlucky about the hour Bob :notworthy:

Thanks. All I wanted to do was stay away from Bill and Rouluer coz they looked to be working well together. Anything else would have been a bonus.
And thanks for the encouraging message:okay:

Blimey Mary must have sprinted round!
Luckily enough I spotted a tall guy at the finish, gave him my hat and coat, and told him to shout, 'come on Mary!' at every female finisher. Left the kids with him too and shot home. Kind of relying on her being fairly euphoric and not quite with it when she finishes.
Just hope the stranger cuffed the kids to the railings when he had finished with them.
Enjoyed that ride immensely. Don't know what was different, but felt a lot better. It was nice to spend a bit of time with the Alpha pack, before they snorted in contempt, and hit the gas.
Was wondering if Tommy and Randy were going to work together and reel me in.

Geoff, to be honest I don't think you should be out of pocket for running a league and not actually riding. I'd be more than happy to contribute to a Bkool premium subscription for you. The are 38 members of the handicap league, if we all contributed a couple of quid or so, that would cover the costs of the subscription.

That's very generous of you all, but I don't think I'd be comfortable accepting any payments. I wonder if there might be an easier way? Perhaps I should make someone like Rick or Bill joint admin, and then I could always borrow an account for a few minutes to do admin type things, that can't be done with a free account? Since I never ride it's wouldn't affect any stats.

I also wonder how long you guys will want to keep doing the Handicap leagues as it moves into spring and summer. We may only get another couple of months, then take a break until October/November.

Cheers,

Geoff
