You would not believe it but it has actually melted the rear tyre - F1 style marbles anyway. See picture

Yes I did the 50 mile route last year-great atmosphere and best food on a sportiveJellybaby, welcome, we like to push and the Bkool gets you fitter. Join the leagues and fun, we generally meet up at 7pm every Thursday and ride the same ride on a Saturday at 5pm. The Bkool is too addictive.
Couldn't get into you Bkool profile, but noticed you have set up 'ride on nelly' as a route? Did you do the tour de test valley? I've done it the last two years, only the 50 miler, looking to do the 100 miler this year.

Ouch! No, thankfully not. It's from last years TdF, the cobbled stage, when one of the riders crashed into the ditch amongst the spectators.

So if you'd got the start right, you've beaten me by moreI'll read the thread next time, I was happily peddling away with a few minutes to go..... then left on the line waiting for my speed to drop to zero before I could start. Not that it would have changed the result! How does the Mountain Goats league work? Do you ride on your own over the week or is there an organised date and time?

New league starting in a few days for March ...
Geoff
And you're also in the Mountain Goats now Jellybaby. One last ride left for the present league before the new one starts. Good chance to see what you've got yourself into

The reason being, I am too childish to know when I am beaten, and if I were to attempt some of these rides more than once, I would likely end up on a gurney in the corridor of the nearest A&E, for 12 hours! You can either ride it yourself anytime while the stage is open or you can ride with others if you can arrange a time for one of you to start the ride and the other to join it during the warm up. Either should give you a result time. Adam and I did the last stage as a joint ride and it worked out well. Also you can make as many attempts as you like and the fastest time will count. Most only do it once though for some reason![]()

. I've noticed that having a quick ghost to tag on to can work wonders so may do an early run then a later one near the end of the week. Mind you, how I'm going to do that and get out on my road bike in the better weather I don't know.I'll read the thread next time, I was happily peddling away with a few minutes to go..... then left on the line waiting for my speed to drop to zero before I could start.
