Go Lars go!! I hope you're rested and ready to represent the cycle chat team.

Thanks, It was total chaos. I had a puncture right before the warm up, and had to pull out the old steel Bianchi (the one I use as my avatar). It was a few minutes past 18:00 when I got back to the PC and searched for the session, but it was nowhere to be found. I was just about to give up when it finally popped up, but it was already in progress, even though it was only 3 minutes past 18:00 (We need Geoff ).
Quickly jumped on the steel Bianchi and began to make my way up through the riders.I never saw the guy we were supposed to race against. I think I ended up in second place.

And Bill, this was one of the toughest rides I have made so far on the BKool, and I only averaged 290 Watts.

A question: How do I get the Chain Gang name included in the rankings.

Way to go Lars. It looks like you beat Marc Molla. Where did you finish on your summercup race?
Hi Randy

Making my way up the rankings. I think I could have won the time trial, but a car raced in front of me and hit the brakes, so I had to stop completely. I was 2 seconds from 2. place and 17 seconds from 1. place.
Currently in 4. place overall.

I miss our weekly online 'ride like a looney rides' can't seem to find the same level of motivation on my own.
Yeah, definitely finding it harder to get motivated when there's no set time.

Adding ghosts helps but not the same. Good that they are running events now though.

If as many as possible could help out with this:

Is everyone else's bkool seriously underestimating how long there is to go in a session?

Today it estimated for about the first third of the course that I would finish in about 40 minutes and it continued to predict times waaay under what I actually achieved. I emailed bkool and this is the answer I got:
---:tired:-----------------------------
Hi Richard,

Thanks for your message. Time remaining estimation is calculated from your average power within the last 30 seconds, distance to the other riders or finish line and the session's gradients. It is normally accurate, but there could be some differences sometimes, as you can easily imagine.
----------------------------

This has happened every ride for the past number of weeks so could I ask everyone who has the same problem to bombard bkool with the same complaint til they take notice.

Email address is: info@bkool.com

I have just had a go at Bkool today about this issue. It's strange that they are trying to make out that the problem doesn't exist.

 I've just figured out what you guys are talking about. Not been able to concentrate on Bkool goings on for a while.
But I know what you mean Lars, that sometimes the power output does not equate to ride difficulty. 290 watts on one ride could easily be as tough as 330 watts up Alpe d'Huez.
If that was the toughest ride you've done on bkool I'm quite glad I wasn't there in my present state of fitness.

Completed my big run today (in the real world). Encorporating all the big hills which will be in the 107 mile Belfast Gran Fondo later this month - was really just trying to see how I'd cope with all that climbing. Mostly rolling hills all day so average speed is pretty poor. Havent fully decided if I'm going to enter it yet!

Bkool makes the real hills seem pretty tame in comparison, so the fact that I wasnt in too much discomfort doing them, compared to some Bkool sessions, definitely made it seem easier! :bicycle::heat:

Yours shows up in my rankings, but mine doesn't show up in my rankings. So I'm guessing it just doesn't show in your own.
Ahh, I think I got it, thanks Randy:

- The group name applied is the group name of the group that did the session.
- You do not se group name for your own activity (wonder why?)
- You only se group names of groups you belong to.

Just took part in the latest Bkool organised race there against triathlete Borja Álvarez Palomo. I was surprised to find myself in second, behind the man himself, with less than a mile to go just 12 seconds ahead of the guy behind. Then in a quick drop of gear my chain decided to part company with the chainring and lodge itself against the frame. Had to jump off the bike twice to sort it, dropped to 4th place but managed to get one place back to finish third.

Pleased but gutted all in one fell swoop!! ^_^xx(:becool::wacko::surrender:

Must have been over 20 riders so biggest group race I've seen yet. Well worth catching up with one of the events if you can. :okay:

Well done, two Chain Gang members in the top, two times in a row. I was tempted myself but did a club ride this morning, and celebrated the first summer day this year with a six pack of Corona extra. The next velodrome event is tempting as well, but that day I'm attending a real-life race. Remembering the Chain Gang velodrome session, this should be one for Bill.

I just started a new series. It's called "race them on their own turf". I just beat Kipster on his Arelsford ride and Darryn on his Destlebugen ride. The rest of you should be shaking in your cleats. But Bill it won't be your Strathpuffer ride. And Lars when I found your lbhifi6prct I noticed you are now wearing green. Congratulations.

Randy. Is this a series anyone can join or follow, and if so, where can it be found?
