Thanks Rob. I will make these the first stages of the goat league.

I think your top 100 climbs over the winter will be a really great addition to keep us all going. Will they all fit into the one league do you think? I have no idea if there are and limits to the number of stages.

No idea bill, I'm up to 25. Some I can't find but that's more down to the crap search bot.

I was planning 100 stages running concurrently.. If not I may have to do it in quarters but We'll see when I press publish!

I'm well up for it. if you need a hand in admin I'll be glad to help out Bill.

Didnt intend riding tonight after two stage yesterday but you've put the notion in my head - I'll give it a definite maybe.
.

Thanks Rick. I'll make you admin in the mountain goats. How many stages/weeks do you think we should have in the first league?

and

I knew you couldn't resist. Pity we were in different races though. Would have been a lot more fun if we were in the same, and at least I'd have got a good race. Did you come in second behind Pep?

Bill, I'm up for it... maybe sneak in the odd flatter stage #fatladattheback
Good man Monte. I'm all for a flat section or two myself as I've almost forgotten what a never ending climb feels like these days. At least we'll be back to serious calorie burning though.

I have to say the Vuelta has been fab this year and not just because it's been such a great race. The mountain racing has been a real eye opener for me. I have cycled in the Picos many years ago but not the Sierra Nevada and so on. Many of the rides have looked quite beautiful and perfect goat territory!Perhaps we can include some of these?
Sounds good Bob. Which Vuelta stages do you suggest?

yeah, second to pep. Pleased with that

Just stick to a 4 week/month format for the first one anyways and see how we feel after that?

That's where I do my training Bob. In the loft and it's pretty good. All I did was to board it up completely using B&Q chipboard over the existing old ceiling joists. Took a lead of the lighting circuit for loft power and lights and the job was a good un. Perfect man cave where the mrs never goes.

Sounds perfect!
I got myself this too in preparation;

Great fan. I was doing a 21mile Zwift session yesterday-I know, traitor!-and I turned the fan from its lowest to highest speed mid session and my heart rate dropped by 20bpm. Should be great in the loft with the skylight open in winter.

That's a good fan. About as big as mine but perhaps more power. A definite must to keep the watts going to the roller.

Hi everyone,

I have had my BKool for a few weeks now and have done a few rides. Had a couple issues with the unit not sending data to my laptop very quickly which has resulted in a number of slow starts and a few resistance issues. Reading on here it seems like I need a USB extension so I will be off to get one tomorrow to see if that helps. As a matter of interest, which side of the trainer should I run the extension lead to? I am guessing the right hand side (the black bulbous side) as you sit on the bike.

I have also requested to join the BKool group as well.

Looking forward to doing some rides with you all.

That would explain why fmpando would not race at todays event. I'm surprised you stayed as long as you did, or perhaps like me, you thought he'd do his usual take it easy at the start then go into full on attack mode half way through.
...and he took the last seconds after using "Los Randeros" as warm up. I saw his race earlier and he really took full advantage of drafting, having several ghosts at his disposal, including one or two versions of himself.

Looks like it's time to seriously look at starting up the Mountain Goats a Chain Gang again.

Who's in? I'm happy to set up a goat league if we can have some suggestions on which climbs you'd like to start off with. And we can start off some kind of temporary chain gang where we just pick a ride and as many of us as possible can join in and race. Then we can later hopefully turn it into a league when we see how it pans out.

I'm in.

Beautiful Mallorca climbs:

Sa Calobra - Coll de Cals Reis

- The toughest climb on Mallorca.

Subida Soller desde el sur

- A Medium climb.

hi Ian. Welcome aboard.:okay:

I believe that it should be sitting close to where the green light is but if you have it sitting anywhere round the back it'll work grand. Doesn't have to be that close to help improve connectivity. Think I've only had one drop out all summer.
