Ditto. Wiggle refunded me no problem. They didn't even insist on sending it to the importer first. Actually I ended up buying again direct from bkool. I still cant help thinking that wiggle got a bad batch from bkool. That could be totally wrong of course.

Did you request a refund or a repair or did you just send it back as faulty and they just went ahead and refunded you?

First time I requested a replacement but when that was faulty I requested a refund. They said I could have either/or.

Hi Bill , I managed to complete the first Mountain Goat League ride , Alpe De Huez and my result isn`t
showing in either my history or the league standings, I`m hoping.....REALLY hoping the system hasn`t
lost it in cyberworld!! That was my first attempt at Huez and just like everyones been saying, it hurts!!
At the moment only 3 people, you Bill, Ryan and Scott are showing in the league standings when I log
in, is that the same for everyone or is my league gone for a break somewhere?
Also some advice needed please, when I finished the ride the tyre I`m using at the moment is a normal
road tyre (I changed from a trainer tyre due to getting punctures) and the road tyre was very warm and
had taken a lot of wear, lots of rubber particles everywhere, is this normal on the mountain rides?

There's no sign of it that I can see Alfonzo. Are you sure you saved the ride afterwards? Do you remember the time you took? If so, and you don't want to do it again, do a quick dummy run ( 2 min ride up Dhuez) from the leagues tab, save it, then I'll adjust the time to that of your first unrecorded run.
Bkool were losing rides for a while around last Christmas but they seem to have fixed that now.
I've had tyres before that get fairly destroyed on the climbs but the continental ultra sport I've used for the past 6 months or so has been really good and long lasting.

hi guys , i would like to join moutain goats on bkool . I live in the German Alps and do a lot of climbing ( thats one of he reasons i am pro green ) on flat stages i am not so good . i am lookink for bkool training parteners for the long cold german winter..

Ryan, I think you've come to the right place for bkool training partners. I added you to the mountain goats group so you can now compete in the league. Like you say, climbing is the best way to go green with bkool.

Thanks for your reply Bill, I definitely saved the ride, the time I did was 56:50, I`m hoping the ride is in backlog somewhere
as this has happened to me a couple of times before on different rides and they suddenly appeared a couple of days later,
I did the ride yesterday (Saturday 19th) evening so I`ll wait a couple of days to see if it suddenly appears in my history,
if not then I may take you up on the offer of the dummy run or I may try it again but I`ll let you know either way.
Thanks for the info on the tyre I think I may try one of those and see how that goes. Thanks again.

I just got started with my kickr & bkool simulator about a month ago. It's nice to be able to do virtual rides after the kids zonk out, particularly since I'm coming off ~5yrs of minimal riding and trying to get back into shape.

What's the "mountain goats" league? I might be interested in joining. JLaw is my handle on bkool.

Thanks
Jeff
Not sue if anyone has already replied to this so sorry if I'm repeating someone else. Bill has just started a monthly league of hill climbs. Great way to build the leg strength! Just look up 'cycle chat mountain goats' on bkool and ask to join.

Hi Hazie. Seeing as Ryan is a pro (green) I think he's going to have to post here otherwise we'll be getting our ar5es kicked by someone we can't even congratulate or otherwise verbally abuse. I suggest asking him to post here.

Thanks bill i can not wait to get started , but i will have to take it easy this week as i am entered in race on saterday over 64 km and a climb of 2700m ..

This working out of town is making me miss the mountain goat opening weekend. Great improvements over the summer for Rick and Bob. Because of some stuff at work I've had to cancel my bike ride vacation that I'd planned on using to get into better shape. So now it's going to have to be Bkooling twice as hard to catch up.
Under "it's a small world" one of my coworkers here in Haines, Alaska has a sister and brother in law who have a bike shop in Haxby.

Regular
Scott. sometimes the league results get automatically put in a holding area for review and acceptance by admin if the bkool system thinks that one of the readings it took of the ride was outside of what was expected. This happens all the time so as long as the ride has been completed then admin will always approve it.
It goes straight to the stage result but going to the overall league result seems to take the system a few hours.
Glad you found it to be strangely enjoyable because I only felt the pain and suffering yesterday. :heat:

I say strangely enjoy as I am not sure having a fryup an hour or so before it which made a slight reappearance at one point was all that enjoyable yet after i finished it and it was the longest i have managed on an indoor trainer was pretty happy with the ride. Bacon never tastes as good second time round! xx(
