Another of the big mountain goats out the way for me which thankfully only leaves the shorter ones. Just as well as i had hoped things would be getting easier but instead found col du glandon the hardest yet and struggled to keep the power up.

Will my power improve if I keep doing these mountain goat stages or should I be doing something different to increase my power? Also how do yo guys motivate yourself to stay on the trainer during a tough ride? Willpower or do you have something to take your mind off it? So tempting to get off when the estimated time to go is sitting at over an hour when I am already half an hour in!
Rory Gallagher live. Best motivation music I know.

Also: How do you guys train?.[/QUOTE]

Over the winter months my training is usually 4 or 5 cycles per week plus one gym weights session - squats and box jumps with upper body circuit. I'm building for sprints though and not so much for being a hill climber. Usually the cycles are 3 x turbo sessions during the weekday evenings and then a longer club run at the weekend.

Can indeed borch. If you do a short session of the same route I'll adjust it.

Have you tried logging on again as it looks.like it's going to attempt to upload it next time you go online?

Did a short one afterwards, can you see it?

Tried logging in and now it's "gone" but nothing shows at Bkool...

Thanks a lot BTW! :-)

LOL I did wonder if you had that one figured out. Geoff told me how to do it some time ago  We'll work something out but right now Borch must be feeling quite happy with himself;).
Should have known that it wouldn't be as straightforward as it appears. This is Bkool after all!

Definitely not obvious. The only reason the same didn't happen to me the first time is it wouldn't accept what I typed in and I had to call for Geoff.

Not sure how others keep track of new posts on here, but I realise there is a whole section of this forum now dedicated to virtual trainers, yet the majority just post on this one thread.

Some guys have posted questions in the past about Bkool and no-one answers, or at best is very slow to answer.

I have now set up an alert for anytime someone posts a new thread in this section.

Just a suggestion, that maybe some others could do similar and we could maybe start to make more use of the sub section we've been granted and give newbies quicker reponses!

Does anyone read 'Cyclist' magazine? There is a good article called 'The Big Ride' and it's in Austria,.
Begins in Partenen, follows the Silvretta Hochalpenstrasse (B188) to Pains. From there the B171 towards Landeck. This will take you to Imst from where you head off to the Hahntennjoch pass and then off to Boden.
As a genuine newbie to Bkool I was thinking I've read the article now I need to cycle the route. I attempted to find it on the system but no good. Anyone point me in the right direction on how to do this or it possible it's just not possible if you know what I mean? :-)

You can upload any route if you can create it in a GPX file. I've used ridewithgps to map out routes and then export to GPX and upload (you can also use Strava).

It's best to split it up into manageable parts, say a couple of hours at the most.

Or buy a motorbike and a garmin virb and go and video it, it sounds like a lovely scenic route!
